I'VE GOT A BOYFRIEND!!!
I got fed up with being alone and went to a gay nightclub, a different one than I normally go to, that was recommended by a trustworthy friend.

I spent the night attempting to "cruise" and probably getting laughed at by the regulars. At the end of the night, a guy who'd spent the evening plugging a VLT decided to talk to me (or took pity on me) and I poured out my tale of woe, abandonment and betrayal. Other than various noises of comfort his primary response was...

"Wanna fuck?"

(Hey, at least I didn't have to figure it out from social cues)

So we did, then he gave me tickets to a dance Saturday night and I helped him clean up after and we ended up back at his place again.

An old, trustworthy friend was at the danced and I asked him about my boyfriend and he strongly vouched for him and hoped we'd hit it off for both our sakes.

1. Lucky Bastard!
Seriously, I hope it works out for you! Last night I dreamed that I met a great man and we fell in love. Then I woke up crying. Fuck.

2. I envy you, my friend. Congrats!!
:toast:

I know how you feel about being laughed at. I don't recall the names and quotes, but I told a few of the more recent ones to my counselor who felt sorry for me at the treatment I got. (my PTSD, never mind the Asperger's that led to PTSD!) makes interpersonal communication darn near impossible... in another time and place the comments might have been funny.

3. or not...
He's had a family crisis (which should be over with by now). I've been too busy to phone him but he's made no attempt to phone me.

I hate this shit.
