I'm back in Chicago now after a week in Italy, waiting for the final flight home. Despite the 90 and 100 degree heat, I had an absolute blast! Lots of great food, wine, and nice people. I got to see St. Peter's, the Vatican, the Pantheon, everything I wanted to see and more.

And for some reason the women here in the US all look so plain now.... :evilgrin:

And yes, one of the great reliefs of my life was upon returning home after an extended visit to my father's family in Trieste and Milano - I didn't have to dress up just to run to the corner to get half and half. It's great fun while visting, but believe me, my cousins and aunts wish the culture was less demanding of women :-)
