I miss church...
i haven't been to mass since July. I know I'm a bad catholic, but I just can't find a parish I like. the one across the street has a very impersonal priest, and has a bunch of gawking tourists on Sunday mornings. I just can't do it. I just wish I could find one like my parish back home. I really miss them, but I can't drive an hour for mass. SIGH. I miss it.

1. Have you worshipped with other denominations?
If you are unable to find a Catholic church where you feel comfortable, have you talked to any Episcopalians or Lutherans?

What about the possibility of driving with someone?

I took a while to find the church where I am a member. A former co-worker of mine used to attend a different church each Sunday!

2. I used to go to a church with the impersonal priest
and the judgemental parishoners (one left a message on my car concerning my wearing jeans to church)but I tried to overlook it to hear the word of God and receive the euchrist. I would just try and overlook it once or twice a month.

3. My church, one priest (the Pastor) puts me to sleep - the other
one has a booming voice and is a very good preacher. He sounds like some black preachers that I have heard when I was a kid.

We are fortunate that we live in a small city, with 6 parishes, and all are moderate to liberal in their Preaching. Masses are always packed every Sunday with a collection of people from every ethnic group in this world. It is truly a "Universal Church."

4. Sounds like an awesome Church
I also live in a small town with 4 parishes. Two are very conservative and the other two more liberal. All have good attendence.
