Doubting transubstantiation, or. . . ? When I feel doubtful, I remember someone who said "I'm not always sure it IS the body and blood of Christ, but I'm not convinced it ISN't, either."

Or, as Augustine prayed, "Lord, I believe. Help Thou mine unbelief." I could always identify with him on that.

Edit: Not questioning your faith, just trying to get what you meant -- and sharing some thoughts of my own. I'm really, really tired so if I sound snarky, I don't intend it ;-)

2. Perhaps he means it's a picture of a monstrance and Host...
...and not an actual monstrance and Host.
