All God, All the Time ......
I saw this article by James Carroll, and I thought I'd like to share
it with you:

http://www.commondreams.org/views05/1017-20.htm

In these times of cheap reliogisity, this is a thoughtful and
profound piece that will probably take me a few readings to truly
penetrate.

It's not the first time that Carroll has managed to put into words
disjointed thoughts that run through my mind ....

1. Funny ...
I was just talking to someone the other day -- we often read, on DU and elsewhere, "logical" arguments for or against the existence of God (there are entire books on the subject). But if a supreme being is not human, as obviously it is not, then why would such a being operate by human logic? Or be contained by human logic, for that matter. So how can anyone prove, or disprove, him through the use of so-called logic?

So much of the universe remains a mystery: I was just reading the other day of dark matter and dark energy, two fairly new concepts. Both defy the laws of physics so painstakingly crafted over the years. One gentleman remarked, in the article, "We need a brand new physics." BTW, I love science. But I feel humble before it, as everyone should. And humble before the face of God, which everyone should -- and so many are not.
