Kerrycrat Kossiaks ... can you help with a non-Kerry request?
Edited on Thu Jun-29-06 02:38 PM by demdiva
My uncle is good friends with Steve Young who is running for Congress in the very-Republican California 48th. He just started posting on Kos. He's an amazing candiate for a very tough race. Will you rec/comment for us?

5. Yay
I'm glad you liked it!!!
Honestly, my uncle couldn't like someone more then he likes Steve. This is the second race in a row he's worked for him (Steve ran in the special election last year) and it's solely because he believes he's such a good guy and would make such a great representative to Congress.

8. I checked out his site and learned he's got the support of VET PAC
and Mike Dukakis. Who knows, maybe KAP might be willing to help his campaign. Sounds like someone Kerry would support.

11. I recommended, but
I would never volunteer for this guy. I am so sick of hearing Democrats berate other Democrats as lethargic, or worse, war supporters, that I could just pull my hair out. If he has a better plan, run on it. If not, stfu. Sorry, that's just the way I feel about it and I'm sure I'm not the only Democrat who feels that way. Some are probably right there in his district.

12. He's not talking about other Democrats he's talking about Republicans
I hope you'll reread the whole post, but here' a snippet

Democrats are modern day patriots. We may live under the summer's sun but we are in the winter of our discontent. We are taxed, but our government does not represent us. We are the brave who demand that America be the land of freedom and liberty. We see the gap between what America is, and what it should be. We are the party whose courage and initiative will close this gap because we embrace America's values. We want our children growing up in a country coming together not coming apart. To have this, we must expand, unify, direct, and inspire our Party and the nation. We must do what is right, let the consequences follow.

13. I read the whole post
"But alas, apathy is the Democrats' pandemic. Its symptoms are easy to diagnose. Lethargy, at the pain, despair, and deaths inflicted by an invading American force waging a war for international oil companies. Neuritis, when we hear, "This war is necessary. We are spreading democracy." Neuroglia, as Democrats accept as our destiny..."

I've just listened to one too many Democrats go down the Democrats are failures campaign path, I'm personally sick of it. Maybe it motivates other people, but it just depresses me.

14. That's not at all what I read in the post
Steve is saying that the public (democrats in particular) have given up on the system, on the government in general, because of the mess Republicans have made while in power.

I agree ... I'm pretty sick of all the talk about Democrats being bad at campaigns, but Steve is speaking about the people in his district ... a very red district. Not about other Democrats running for office.
