Forward Together Pac from Mark Warner
http://www.forwardtogetherpac.com/mapchangers

Mark Warner is going to be giving 5,000 to winning candidates, so go and vote up your favorites. If you don't have any, I'd suggest going to Keeping America's Promise and seeing which ones JK is supporting. Every little bit helps! They are now in the second round of voting, and several of JK's candidates are listed. And of course I voted for the Dem in my district, Bryan Kennedy--it would be wonderful to oust Sensenbrenner from WI-5th! (hint, hint...)

1. Okay, I did it
And voted for Kennedy too. Out west, vote for Jerry McEnerny. He's a good guy and that's the Pombo seat, we need to take that one out too.

3. I thought "Forward Together" sounded familiar.
That's also the name of the latest dumbass Iraq "initiative" (for lack of a better word) that the * administration has named. (Whatever.) I'm sure the name belonged to Mark Warner's PAC long before Chimpy's propagandists thought it sounded catchy. Gee, I hope no one confuses the two.

'Operation Forward Together' begins in Iraq By QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA, Associated Press Writer
Wed Jun 14, 3:32 AM ET

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's prime minister launched the biggest security crackdown in Baghdad since the U.S.-led invasion, with tens of thousands of security forces deploying throughout the capital on Wednesday and increased checkpoints causing some traffic jams.

The crackdown, which army officials said was dubbed Operation Forward Together, began a day after U.S. President George W. Bush paid a surprise visit to Baghdad, promising continued U.S. support for Iraqis but cautioning them that "the future of the country is in your hands."

4. I'm a procrastinator, but I just did it -- your guy is not in the top 5
Webb in the East and Tester in the West are in the #1 spot. I decided to receive e-mails from him -- it doesn't hurt to know what the competition is thinking and doing.

I toggled between Kerry's PAC site and Warner's to get the candidate's names, and here are my thoughts:

Warner's site is a lot of bells and whistles but it all seems to be overhyped and contrived. There's a blog but no activity on it -- just a post maybe with one comment, and that includes the ones about YearlyKos. One of the Kossacks bashed the site for saying Warner gave a "keynote" address -- the poster said that was not true and was disingenuous.

I actually like the simplicity of Kerry's site -- a PAC site doesn't need bells and whistles IMO. It just needs to be functional. However, it was WAY out of date (the Press Room's most recent post was Feb. 2006), and seriously needed to be updated. Plus I thought Kerry had more candidates than the ones shown on the site (like Webb wasn't in there). Overall, though, it is smart that Kerry conserves cash on his website now, when nobody is that engaged anyway. But in 2007, he needs to launch a new more robust site that competes with Warner's and Edwards's.
