6. Sen. Thune speaking
Build up, build up, buld up. We have too many military funerals. Balh, blah, blah. (I think my patience for Rethug rhetoric is running short.)

The Rethugs have 40 minutes left. Apparently there are still 'pubbies who haven't bashed Kerry yet today and are hurrying over to get their licks in. Sigh!

Hey, Thune went to Iraq. He saw the mess and now says Iraq is mixed. A Mosque blows up here, but security forces stand up there. Gee, that's nice.

Geez John, what you do, forget your Rethug shiv? Frist is falling down on the job. He is supposed to remember to give you the shiv before you get to the floor. Frist is slipping.

Thune is going through all the wonderful plans that the Bush Admin has for making Iraq a happy place. It all sounds so good. I wonder what he is smoking? Wow, Iraq is one step shy of Disneyland. (Iraqiland: The adventure of a lifetime.)

Thune might not have enough time left to question Kerry's motives and patriotism. Geez, I bet he didn't get the memo. BTW, does he have a point or was he just pointed to the floor and told to ramble until one of the Pit Bulls got there?

26. Rethuglia is developing a game plan on this
The terrorists all have American Satellite or cable and watch C-Span. They love watching the Senate and do so every day hoping that they can be emboldened by the idea that the Senate might have a debate.

Wow! Terrorists have a lot of time on their hands. I had no idea they followed C-Span. I haven't heard them call in on the morning shows. Gee, imagine that.

Oh and we are so glad that Sen. Kerry et al are hving this important debate. It's important that the terrorists see and hear his arguments so they can be heartened. (OMG, did he really support this line of logic? What a dickhead.)

Gee, those wacky terrorists. Who knew they were all policy wonks?

We did a truly noble thing to send out soldiers to die for a lie. Why should anyone question this?

So far, he hasn't stated that he fully supports Sen. Kerry's right to speak (And embolden the terrorists ) but I think it's coming.

Ah, cutting and running. I knew that phrase would come back. We have differences of opinion. We support the troops and you support the evil-doers. I'm not being judgemental here, but that's just the way things are. Now, you Democrats need to think about what you did. Support us or just go join Al Qaeda.

What a little dickhead.

and linked him to OBL. What a guy. I think he escaped service in Vietnam because he had a bad knee. However, he has a warriors heart and enjoys sending other people's children to fight, get wounded and possibly die. What a guy!

Do not cut and run, (Like I did from Vietnam service.) There is much sacrifice that is needed. (Unless you are rich, in which case this war means Tax Cut and Party!)

What a dickhead. When is Sen. Kerry speaking again. (Gawd, by this time he should have a heavenly choir singing whenever he appears. He has been so maligned today that God owes him.)

43. From 'the database'
Name: Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA)
Born: 1943
Employer: The U.S. Taxpayer
Conflict Avoided: Vietnam
Notes: There are chickenhawks, and then there are chickenhawks. Saxby Chambliss is a chickenhawk supreme. He got himself elected to the Senate by casting aspersions on the patriotism of the incumbent, Democrat Max Cleland. Cleland lost three limbs serving his country in Vietnam. Saxby Chambliss was unable to serve because of his bad knees, but somehow is able to totter along as a recreational runner.

66. Last I saw he was slightly ahead
Nothing much has started here yet. I assume he will win. He is good. His opponent is the son of Former Governor Kean - I think he's like 34. NJ is pretty sophisticated and in 2002 was willing to vote fgr Torichelli (sp?) because it could be the seat that would have turned the Senate. I was thrilled when Lautenberg was brought in to replace him.

I love Menendez - he's voting for Kerry's amendment!!!

The other thing that seems good is that in my county (very Republican) more people than anyone remember ran for the county Democratic commission. (There can be 2 people from each district, one man and one woman. There are many many slots with no people.) This is good because each town should have people as well as any who involved at the county level.
