1. I'm kicking this because we need an answer
Josh at TPM is tallying votes in the Senate and Kerry has not been mentioned. Harry Reid came out for Net Neutrality this weekend.

Good quote from Josh on what doing away with net neutrality would mean:

What shipping speed do you think TPM will get? Kos? Redstate? Figure 6 day ground. And how about CNN and Fox? One way or another they'll get guaranteed overnight. Or maybe Bellsouth partners with Fox, so the Fox site downloads faster in Georgia and CNN goes faster out west.

It changes what the Internet is and makes it into something more like Cable TV where the local cable company decides which channels are on the box.

Any word on Kerry's position because he would literally be against his own bloggers if he went against net neutrality. A Kerry friendly blog like Dem Daily would be crushed, not to mention all of our favorite lib blogs (and, of course, RW blogs, too, but they're not as necessary for the Right as talk radio and Fox PLUS they have more money to pump up their big sites).

2. I agree. It is very important.
I have not been able to find something on this subject. He is not a cosponsor of the Dorgan Bill (that Hillary cosponsored as quickly as she could). He is a member of the Commerce Committee.

I dont know where he stands (I guess he stands at the right place, but I dont have anything to prove that).

This said, it is worrisome that the Markey Bill (my Congressman) has been rejected in the House (with some Democratic votes, and that, according to TPM, many Democrats do not rush to endorse Net Neutrality.

5. Brownback is an IDIOT, literally biting the hand that feeds
The Christian Coalition is FOR Net Neutrality. That guy is such a phony "Christian Right" character. In the end, his corporate interests will always eclipse his "moral interests".

Thanks for the update. I KNEW Kerry was for Net Neutrality; he couldn't be anything but for it. Hmmm . . . I'll call my Rethug senators tomorrow about this, since it's kind of bipartisan. I'll also tell them that I support Kerry's Iraq resolution, not that they will give a damn.

6. Okay, this is also why I can't totally hate Lieberman
Here he is being targeted by bloggers for a primary challenge, and yet he still supports net neutrality. Let's give him his due on this.
