Ahm, Now I feel like someone on The Price is Right at the end of the show when they compete for the prizes. Should I be bad and go for August 16th or 18th and crowd you or pick a date at least a week away.

Hmmm, July 31st. For no damn good reason I can think of. I seems like an apropos date to me.

Sometimes, when we have a major action or speech, we clock in at around a 100 a day or more. We are a busy little hive of bees, after all.

Guess that will depend on what is going on. I'm guessing that there will be a slump during the summer months, probably around or after the July 4th holiday. Then again, things could heat up rapidly if we have an indictment or some other hot story.

I found a post from April 15 when there were 82,036 posts - so it took 52 days to get 8,000. So, if the rate stays the same - than 60 days would get another 10,000. As Tay said, it's always accelerating - but it will be summer and Kerry might take some vacation (he deserves it), so it might slow down.

10. ok, I'll try math

At noon today we were at 80890, so ten hours later we added 170 posts. Today was a somewhat above average day, so I'd say normally 100 posts in ten hours, and taking into account nighttime hours being less busy, I'd say 150 posts in a 24 hr period, so in 66 days. 11 August :-)
