A Fair Reversal: Kerry's office quoting Democratic Daily
From The Democratic Daily--see original post for links:

http://blog.thedemocraticdaily.com/?p=3048

Need to prove a point to a journalist? Just quote The Democratic Daily. At least that’s what John Kerry’s office has done. Check out this entry from a blog from Boston’s CBS affiliate:

Kerry For President

Is he really going to do it again? Yes, he is. How else to explain his feverish reaction in our interview earlier today when I quoted back to him recent CBS News/New York Times polling that gives him lower approval ratings nationally than even George W. Bush. (You can watch the interview after it airs on CBS4 News today at 5pm.)

By the time I got back to the station after sitting down with the senator, his staff had e-mailed me the following item from the Democratic Daily blog (Read More). (Nice to see they’re so tuned into the blogosphere.)

The Democratic Daily–Authoritative source covering John Kerry’s back and correcting mainstream media misinformation!

2. Keller is one of Boston's most virulent
Kerry-haters.

Smoother than Howie Carr, but nearly as bad. He never says anything positive about Kerry.

3. Well, I gotta say your site is often better than his site for research

Great job, guys, and very clever with the "undecided" part of the explanation on that poll. I e-mailed Andrew Sullivan to no avail; he never corrected himself.

6. Woo-hoo! Very cool.
It's really nice that JK's staff was able to pull that piece to respond to Keller.

8. The Keller interview is online now.

Interesting. Keller was nicer to Kerry than I've ever seen him, but Jack Williams was atrue upholder of that old Boston Globe Spirit: "Well, Kerry's always had a big ego..." WTF?

9. Does Williams and/or Keller like Romney?
Kerry answer was very good and logical, especially as he likley didn't have any of the numbers to look at. It is so good that they got KG and Dr Ron's backup.

13. Jon Keller is a self-important little (expletive deleted) jerk
I always think of him as a chihuahua, he is this excitable little yipper who barks and barks, but can't back up the bark with anything. (He used to be on one of the smaller Boston stations and I reached for the remote when he came on. He is a libertarian Republican and was/is friends with the Andy Card wing of the Mass Rethug Party.) He wrote a 'hit piece' on Kerry in a May or June issue of Boston Mag in '04 that basically said Kerry won Iowa despite himself and only because other people came in and saved him. (Jerk.) He was mighty pleased when Kerry lost in '04, I'll tell you that.

That said, he was merely tolerable in this interview. If my greatly and deeply esteemed Senator is giving interviews to him then maybe he is really and truly running. (Or today was 'Be nice to the Retards' Day in Boston. Either way.)

Jack Williams comment about ego doesn't bother me. All people in politics who reach that high a level of achievement have egos. Saints and the desperately insecure don't belong in high-level politics, it's not a good fit. You have to have a good ego in order to endure as Sen. Kerry has endured. It's just common sense.

10. re: ego and Romney
Why do so many people get confused about what a big ego looks like? This does NOT help the tendency of women to get hung on "selfishness" and get confused about self-determination.

Romney is damn near textbook for big egos. Look at him grandstand about "his" health care plan. Well... if it all goes smash, he can take the blame, too.

11. Romney is a first-class jerk.
He actually told the news media (espeically those out-of-town reporters who dote on him for an '08 run) that he was on guard during the recent flood for 'looters on the North Shore.' This is ludicrious. Tere were no looters on the North Shore. (Or anywhere else that I know of.) What a bastard. Also, he is downplaying the extent of the flood damage. 14,000 homes damaged is no small deal and he should get off his ass and try and help the people of the state he is still (legally) Governor of.

I hate him even more now.

Kerry is picking up the slack:

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, and the Small Business Administration will join Kerry on May 22 at the first-annual Massachusetts Procurement and Business Expo at Sal’s Riverwalk in Lawrence -- a conference that was already planned but has since added a session on flood assistance.

16. Lawrence was really hit bad by this flood
It is one of the poorest areas of Massachusetts and I was very glad that Sen. Kerry chose Lawrence for his Small Business Conference. I am even happier that he is still holding this (I heard ads for it on my local AAR channel) and that he is adding seminars that are relevant to the current flood situation.

:loveya: What a great thing to do!

17. Awesome!
The Democratic Daily is a terrific Kerry news and reference site. It must take a heck of a lot of work to keep up with the senator's activities. You folks deserve appreciation for all your hard work!

Congrats!
