1. If McCain only knew the true meaning of
Dissent:

dissent
A noun

the act of protesting; a public (often organized) manifestation of dissent
Category Tree:
act; human action; human activity
?group action

?direct action
?boycott
2 dissent

a difference of opinion
Category Tree:
act; human action; human activity
?speech act
?disagreement
?dissent
3 dissent

(law) the difference of one judge's opinion from that of the majority; "he expressed his dissent in a contrary opinion"
Category Tree:
act; human action; human activity
?speech act
?objection
?dissent
B verb
1 dissent

withhold assent; "Several Republicans dissented"
Category Tree:
disagree; differ; dissent; take issue
?dissent
2 disagree, differ, dissent, take issue

be of different opinions; "I beg to differ!"; "She disagrees with her husband on many questions"

3 protest, resist, dissent

express opposition through action or words; "dissent to the laws of the country"
Category Tree:
think; cogitate; cerebrate
?judge

He needs to look it up, nowhere does it say argue. Of course he uses the word argue more then he uses the word debate. Sure the verb argue can be used in describing debate, but why not just use the noun debate, the repubs always want to fight instead.

This is their definition of argue:

?argue, contend, debate, fence
?oppose
?quarrel; dispute; scrap; argufy; altercate
?quibble; niggle; pettifog; bicker; squabble; brabble
?spar
?stickle

2. If that nutjob panders his way into the WH
I swear to God, this country is finished. I really think he's crazy.

On Friday night, he said

“We must win. We must win. We must win,” McCain said. “We must stay the course.”

He said the United States cannot afford to back away from the insurgents.

“They want to drive us out of Iraq and follow us here,” he said.

And on Saturday he's talking about dissent?

A lightening bolt should strike him down. His pants should catch on fire. His nose should grow to where it can insert itself into Falwell's fat ass.

Apologies. I need to learn to be more compassionate toward the mentally ill.

3. Oh big deal, McCain: * would say the very same thing.
It's only lipservice when coming from someone who never dissents himself.

They don't care if we dissent. They just won't listen.

Nixon didn't listen, either, and we see how he ended up.

5. "His nose should grow to where it can..."
Ew. Falwell would probably wind up getting something out of that. No orgasms for the anti-choice, I say.

4. Don't look if you have a weak stomach.
We must never let anyone forget who this man's friends are. The thought of McCain even winning the Republican nomination makes me want to :puke:.

7. How many days until the press has this as a McCain issue,
and questions why Kerry didn't speak on dissent in 2004? Or Now.

It shows that they are seeing Kerry's words resonate. After enough polls, Hillary will be speaking about dissent.
