Kerry Answers Questions From the MSM That You Will Not See in the MSM
John Kerry Answers Questions From the MSM That You Will Not See in the MSM
April 11th, 2006 @ 1:24 pm

We all know by now, the MSM was notorious during the last election cycle (and still) in not reporting accurate news about John Kerry or his campaign. Yesterday, as I spent the day at two events with John Kerry as he discussed immigration reform (see here, here, and here for photos) with constituents of Rep. Xavier Becerra (CA-31) in Los Angeles, I took notes on both the events including some of the questions from the MSM and John Kerry’s responses to them.

Here’s a few examples of John Kerry’s answers to the questions from the MSM that you probably never see in the MSM…

One member of the press asked if Kerry believed the immigration marches and protests “will make a difference?” Kerry responded, “Yes! It has a great impact. The way to make a difference is to go out and participate in democracy.” He also stressed that “stories need to be told about immigrants,” stories like Juana’s (see my post here) and other’s like her.

When asked about the situation in Iraq and his Iraq proposal, Kerry said that it was “Unconscionable that our soldiers are giving their lives — it’s just wrong!” He said, “The president should get tough. Our soldiers have done their job… they have given Iraq a chance for democracy. We are now in a civil war. If it is not resolved in the the coming weeks, it will get worse.”

2. I hope there is
It might end up the most posted line he ever said - seeing there are people who won't let this die.

That's why I wished that Kerry had stayed with Kennedy and others and voted against it. Then you wouldn't have the wishing the apology was said during the election stuff.

I am not letting Bush off the hook, but the media and others have spun it into thinking that it's a vote for war, and now that he has admit it, we should too. What an ugly thread. Hint.. :-(

5. He didn't admit it was a vote for war
He did admit it was wrong and he regrets it.

6. and they're still giving him a hard time
I dont get it honestly. How come Jack Murtha who is a long time hawk on defense issues gets defended and has "backbone" but Kerry doesn't. It almost seems to me that either these people really do have high double standards or they expect more out of Kerry.

8. Because Murtha is not a threat to their favorite's chances
and because some blame Kerry for not winning in 2004. Some insist he should have refused to concede without a recount when the different was over 100,000 at that point. They simply don't get that the differnce was too great for Kerry to have done this. Even if he asked for it, it would have been immediately denied.

but it feels like Kerry's name is being attached to something tragic and immoral like this war. Everytime my family watches the news about the troop deaths, the first thing they wonder is how could Democrats "go along" with something they knew was wrong. Whenever they mention Uncle Ted not going along with the lies, I just say "I know" without mentioning Kerry's name.

It's just so tiring that people keep living in the past instead of looking to try and get out of this horrible mess.
