10. I just got a new monitor, does ths pic look a little elongated to you?
Cuz I have this overwhelming urge to send sandwiches or something to Washington DC. Those are the longest legs I've ever seen. And he needs to eat something. (High protein shakes? Pasta 3 times a day? Something.)

Exactly when in my life did I become everyone's Mom? (Geesh. I gotta get over that.) He looks too thin to me. Funny, he looked just fine in Nashua the other night. Although people did come over a lot and interrupt his meal with salutations and questions and 'happy to see yuhz' and such. On the other hand, if he ate what I ate, he wasn't missing much. Maybe he got double desserts or something to make up for it.

13. The photo is great, but it is elongated.
His hair does look longer. The smile looks great.

18. I think it's the camera angle and the lens used
but you're right, he does look really thin. (Not just in this photo.) I will personally pledge to donate 20lbs. to him. I've got it to spare, he needs it - seems like a win - win for everyone!

2. Make that 4 - Kerry to put hold on Bush pick for post

LESLIE MILLER
Associated Press

WASHINGTON - Former presidential candidate John Kerry said Tuesday he will prevent the former head of Boston's $14.6 billion Big Dig, Richard Capka, from becoming head of the Federal Highway Administration.

"I'm afraid Richard Capka could be the Brownie of highways," Kerry said, referring to former Federal Emergency Management Agency chief Michael Brown, who became the scapegoat for the inept federal response to Hurricane Katrina.

Capka, nominated earlier this month by President Bush for the top highway job, was chief executive officer of the Boston highway project from January 2001 to June 2002 until his position was terminated.

Though costs rose slightly during his 1 1/2-year tenure, Capka was mostly criticized for his failure to handle the political controversies surrounding the massive project. For example, he approved lucrative severance packages for several Big Dig lawyers.

I love this: “I’m afraid Richard Capka could be the Brownie of highways,” Kerry said.

11. OMG!
Having just been to Boston and having had trouble getting to our hotel because many exits on 93 were closed, including the one we were suppose to take - this is unbelievable. While checking in, the hotel clerk just shook his head and mentioned the "Big Dig" and all it's problems. Do you think the Senator will change his mind "when he gets the "facts"?

Could Bush have found a WORSE candidate?

12. So, was he Secretary in Charge of not reporting leaks or what?
Thank you Senator. I see no reason whatsoever to reward those no-account, piece of sh*t, douchebags Massachusetts Republicans bastards who screwed up the Big Dig either. I would of put a hold on 'em too! The only way I would ever vote for the bastard was if he promised to let auditors in to check everything he does, every step of the way. Jerks. (Plus, after 2004, didn't the Big Dig try and hire the company that worked on the Swift Boat Ads to do their promotions? Don't trust these bastards as far as you can through them Senator. Not as far as you can throw them.)
