Statement by Senator John Kerry in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
January 16th, 2006

Today, as America celebrates Martin Luther King Day, Senator John Kerry released the following statement in honor of Dr. King and Martin Luther King Day:

“Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his life to give the world an amazing gift. It’s our job to use it. With crime rates increasing, genocide in Darfur continuing, and Washington growing increasingly apathetic to the problems of real Americans, there’s no more urgent time to remember and live by Dr. King’s legacy of love and respect.

Maybe it is part worry. I'll be happy to see him back "home." He'll come back to the Senate ready to kick ass, no doubt. It'll be a thing of beauty!
