Here They Go Again
Laugh or cry. How many times do they have to do this before they realize they're shooting their messengers. Rove doesn't even have to rattle their cages, all he has to do is raise his hands, with a little boogetyboo, and off they go ready to bury Democrats again. How can they not see the difference between Tom Delay and Harry Reid, or Byron Dorgan for chrissake. It's unbelievable. We're all going to look like TayTay's horse statute by the time they're done, I'm tellin' ya.

4. notice that he seems to insist the Dems are guilty in many of his posts
never providing any proof of anything. and seems to accuse anyone who asks for proof of blindly following the party.

11. He has "issues"
no doubt. I also think he is on the forum often enough to have read the many many many threads that have indicated that the DEMs are not directly involved.

I think he likes to stir people up.

6. Correct me if I'm wrong
Edited on Sat Dec-31-05 10:12 AM by ProSense
But the tribes that donate have not been indicted. From what I understand, Abramoff filtered moneys from the tribes through phony organizations like the one linked to DeLay. This is a huge scandal including everything from money laundering to murder. The tribes can legally donate to Democrats. The media seems to have again created a false impression by terming money from tribes, Abramoff-related monies. This is a very simplistic take on the entire scandal, but the monies to Democrats seems to have been donated legally.

I wouldn't put it pass the crooks to have donated money legally to Democrats so that the link could be drawn if they got caught. It seems that's why Dorgan returned the contributions. This is a Republican scandal and mentioning Abramoff and Democrats in the same statement is being done intentionally (by this poster too) to create the impression of impropriety on the Democratic side.

7. Oh check out the latest wave
Oh why, oh why didn't Kerry...?

They can't admit that they still pin all hope on Kerry because no one else has more capacity to tackle the problems facing this country.

8. Brian Lamb spent time yesterday doing the same thing
He talked about and put pictures up of Dems in particular who may/may not be involved. I didn't watch the whole thing, but it's pretty obvious what RW strategy is going to be used with this one. I hope the Dems do not fall for it--the Dems on the Hill, that is. Abramoff is a Republican lobbyist and a Pioneer, for crying out loud!

9. Another instance of the spin machine doing their thing.
The Rovian spin on this will be, surprise, surprise, to confuse the electorate as much as possible by making the issue just campaign funds. A lot of people got campaign funds from the Indian tribes. That is not illegal and not unethical. The problem is the quid pro quo system of a specific donation resulting in a specific legislative action being done for that donor. That is the corruption.

The media is lazy and likes to be spoon-fed easy stories. They cannot be allowed to gloss over the favors system that is the heart of this corruption story. Again, the story is not who got money, the story is who prostituted their office and did illegal favors because they had been bribed. Democrats were not part of this spoils system. The whole idea has been to marginalize the Dems. No Democrats have been involved in this bribery system. It was a Rethug operation.

Rethugs will, once again, try their confuse, confuse, confuse gambit because it works so well for them. It will not stand up in the court of law because corruption is a legal matter. Honestly, once again you marvel at how such supposedly smart people can be so dumb as to be taken in by this simple misdirection on the part of the Repubs. You'd think they would read their own posts once in a while about how evil the Rethugs are and take a lesson. Sigh!
