Quotation that describes Bsh to a tee ...from Shakespeare, of course.
I love Keats, Shakespeare and Great Speeches from History...and I'm into quotations in a major way. It seems that the Bsh family tree does go back to Shakespearean times:

"Idol of idiot-worshippers!" - from Troilus and Cressida

And here's one of my own: "You, Sir, are NO Henry V."

(It makes my blood boil when they refer to Bsh as Henry V. The St. Crispen's Day speech is one of the most inspiring in fiction and Bsh is not exactly an inspirational speaker. A drunkard and a wastrel he may have been, and still is in my humble opinion, but Bsh is not anything akin to "Hal." No effing way.)

1. I like quotes, too
And the Bard is, of course, the master of them all. Funny how much of the human condition that he portrayed back in Elizabethan times still applies to today's--especially politics.

2. People don't change very much. We are long overdue for a bit of
evolving, or should I say, "intelligent design?"

3. it's our emotional selves that never change over the centuries
We learn more and more, building up a huge amount of knowledge and skills as we progress as humans, but our emotional cores are the same as centuries ago. I think that's why we still manage to start wars and commit crimes. No amount of technology can change it. I guess it's what defines us.

4. I gravitate toward Mark Twain quotes
All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence -- and then success is sure.

Always tell the truth. That way, you don't have to remember what you said.

Be good and you will be lonesome.

Facts, or what a man believes to be facts, are delightful... Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Good breeding consists of concealing how much we think of ourselves and how little we think of the other person.

I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.

5. And, Ahm, the 3 Stooges.
Sorry, but I had the six brothers. I love the Stooges. They were very wise in their own peculiar way.

"Join the Army and See the World - Or What's Left of It!" - Advertising Sign ("Boobs in Arms")

"If at first you don't succeed, keep on suckin' til ya do suck seed!" - Curly ("Movie Maniacs") Honestly, does anything sum up the Bush Administration more than this. Keep on sucking until you do suck seed. I asks ya, couldn't that just be tattoed on Bush's forehead.

"Did you come from behind that rock, or crawl out from under it?" - Shemp Howard ("I'm A Monkey's Uncle")

"Have you ever been indicted?" "Not since I was a baby, yer Honor!" - Vernon Dent and Moe ("Idiots Deluxe")

"You can be Secretary of the Offense, you'll be Secretary of the Inferior, and I'll be Toastmaster General!" - Moe ("Three Dark Horses")

"Every time you think you weaken the nation." - Moe Howard to Curly Howard
