The Kerry's Thanksgiving message

Teresa and I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving -- and thank everyone in the johnkerry.com community for your efforts to make our nation stronger. Our thoughts and prayers are with the brave Americans in uniform who put their lives on the line every day for all of us. We have so much to thank them for.

On this Thanksgiving 2005, we will look back on a year when the tragedy of natural disaster was matched only by courage and perseverance. All across the globe, victims of hurricane, earthquake and tsunami have been given new hope due to the sacrifice and generosity of concerned citizens. We celebrate this Thanksgiving in a year when too many in America and around the world lack the bare necessities like shelter and sustenance. But we also celebrate Thanksgiving in a year when more people than ever before were moved to give of themselves to help others in need. For that, we all must be thankful - and never forget that in these trying times the spirit of giving is needed in all times, not just the holiday season.

And my Mom got a pattern for one of the Christmas sweaters that we talked about a while ago. She loved them! (They are really very cute.)

and she found or sent away for a pattern magazine that had some of these in them. She loved them. I'm sure they are not the same exact thing, but they are nice patterns. (I really liked the sweaters. I thought they were really cute.)
