Yikes!
I've had enough for awhile.

Also I've discovered that "The Rules" don't apply this morning for some reason. (Not just on "certain topics", which is what has me really puzzled.)

Have a good breakfast and fill the coffee cup before venturing out into the wilds.

MH out.

1. Me too - I am considering staying out of DU for a while
If the ideal is the destruction of sound democrats, it is not mine.

2. I'm considering it too
Maybe I'll do some early online Christmas shopping and work on some new harp pieces.

I don't get this.

3. It will give me more time to read the excellent blogs some of the posters
here have.

They know how to talk about real issues in intelligent terms. (I am not naming anybody by fear to forget somebody).

6. Lots of interesting stuff at Democratic Daily yesterday
I posted several interesting items yesterday, some of which isn't all over the blogs.

I have the full Morning Edition interview transcript with Wilkerson showing how Cheney promoted viloation of the Geneva convention. There's also an op ed article by him added to the comments.

There's several articles on intelligent design from the last couple of days, including the Vatican weighing in--in support of science over id.

There's a memo showing how the Republicans see their base--a bunch of wackos who can be manipulated to turn out to vote.

Of coure there are multiple Kerry items, including an article which pretty accurately explains Kerry's position on the war. Nothing new to us, but it is good to see that sort of stuff out there.

4. I've been thinking about taking a break,
until this blows over. I've got a crapload of homework anyway and there are plenty of other blogs. Maybe I just won't post outside of Kerry group...I've pretty much stopped doing that anyway.

7. You know what it is? Miller is a DUer
so he's being protected under the rules that say you can't attack a fellow DUer.

8. If that's the case, we should encourage John Kerry
to become a DUer. Then people couldn't attack him. (I'm joking of course, but only kind of.)

9. Well, I'm serious. He should.
Because that's what I really think was going on yesterday.

10. I didn't mean to seem like I was joking about what you said LC.

(Sorry if that's how it seemed.) I was only joking about the thought of John Kerry logging onto DU and hanging out with the  folks in GD-P. On edit: Not that he couldn't handle it of course! I'd personaly love to see him kick a little lefty freeper butt on line.

11. He's too good for this site
And they would be rude to his face, because the fucking cowards would be hiding behind their cyber anonymity. They were fucking rude to Chris Heinz when he posted here, and he left. Personally I think it says a lot that Mark Crispin Miller actually takes DU seriously. No one with any sense of persepective should take DU as anything more than a fringe far-left forum, which is what it's become. The fact that he chose to come here to spread his little rumor campaign says a lot about his motives and the kinds of people he wants to appeal to (possibly to purchase his book?).

13. Interesting point - rude to Chris Heinz was ok, but not MCM?
Heinz likely had far more insight and is likely to be a Democratic official at some point and he has a very nice mom.

12. Nah, it's cool. I knew what you meant.
I think he could come in like Mrs. Edwards does. And it's hard to call someone a liar to their face.

You ever notice how people get all embarrassed by what they've said when Mrs. Edwards is around. Suddenly these are people.

But Kerry would get hung by every little thing he says, I'm sure. So probably not really a good idea.

It was a nice dream for a minute there.

14. I checked out the Give'em Hell Harry site last nite.
Since I'm such a senate-aholic, I may try hanging out there a little bit.

Was thinking last nite how everything was going so much better for open discussions about Kerry...and than BAM!

I will say one positive thing tho, there were don't blame Kerry people coming out from everywhere as well.

As for DU - I'll continue to check in here daily, and maybe out to the greatest to see what's up.
