What's the dress code for Dec. 11th?
I want to go full-on, black tie, grammy worthy glamour. Would that be too much? Because that's what I want to do.

1. We need to find out.
I'm with you, but I don't think it's that formal.
Has anyone seen a reply to their donation yet (apart from the donation confirmation)? I'm hoping for more info.
The little black dress goes anywhere, so unless we see something that indicates appropriate dress, that's my choice.

3. I wrote to Jon Patsavos and he said
That if you contribute online, your name will be on a guest list that they will have at the door. I forgot to ask him about the dress requirements.

Maybe someone could ask him, as I have pestered him with enough questions already

2. I don't know that there is one
but if it's full-on, black tie, grammy worthy I'm in big trouble. Tay Tay said that business casual should be fine, but I don't see why you couldn't go dressier if you want to.

4. I'll be in big trouble with you.
:P

Not much for grammy-worth attire myself.

It would be nice to know for sure what's expected though.

6. I'm going to feel like a colossal ass if I show up in an evening gown
and JK is in jeans. Though I'm sure I will recover promptly at the sight of his royal denim clad hotness.

7. I'm guessing JK will
be in a suit. And at most I'd guess cocktail attire/business wear. I hightly doubt people will be in jeans, but I'd be eually amazed if anyone showed up in formalwear.

A nice dress or skirt or dress pants with a nice top is what I'm guessing. Don't forget - Boston in December. It's either boots or pants.

8. Maybe I should just go for
a dressy jacket/top combo and a nice skirt, then?

9. That sounds about right.
BTW, I think there might be Kerry in Tux pics out next eekend. He is due at a very, very pricey formal dinner in Boston that benefits the National Holocuast Memorial in DC. He and the Missus are 'honorary Co-Chairs.' I will definitely check for pics. He really looks yummy in formal attire. (And in suede too! See my March thread.)

What are the chances do you think that I can get a pic with his hotness at the b-day event?

10. Damn....
.... I had this really nice dress I was planning on bringing, along with nice sandally shoes. Would that be too dressy then? I should go for pants instead?

Damn, I really wanted to wear my hot dress. :(

12. Cocktail dresses should be fine.
Be aware that Boston can be either cold or really cold in Dec. (Cold = 40 degree area. Really cold = 15 to 30 degrees, particularly at night.) You will be dressing at the Park Plaza (I assume, right?) and so, you can wear a nice dress. (Dresses that are not long evening gowns are cocktail dresses and are perfect, btw.)

Be comfy. Wear what you want. If you have a fav dress, dammit woman, wear it.

13. Oh, I know cold.
It gets plenty cold here in Illinois. You mean we'll be dressing at the event? Or is that where we're getting a hotel for that night, in which case we'd have time to change beforehand?

It's a really hot dress and I've actually never had a chance to wear it. I can't wait to buy my plane tickets and be officially on my way.

14. what kind of dress ?
Edited on Sun Oct-30-05 11:19 PM by JI7
very formal evening gown type thing or something a little less ?

i notice that women who attend these type of events tend to be more dressy even if it's a casual type thing. especially the younger girls such as yourself.

unless it's something that specifically calls for jeans and shirt as one of Clinton's fundraisers did, i think a nice dress should be fine.

when i meet Kerry i know i will be more dressy than usual.

15. It's not a super formal dress.... I wouldn't have worn it to prom
It's a nice, fairly expensive dress, but not floor length or anything. It should be about right for the event. Plus, I want to look my best when I meet Kerry - even if he is happily married, I want him to think "Holy shit, she's HOT!"

16. Wear it!
Show Kerry that he has a young hot thing that thinks he is the greatest Senator around!

As my mom always used to say "If you got it, flaunt it"!

But let us know what you are wearing so the rest of us could take it from there.

17. i agree, i would totally go with the dress
and at the very least if there is a huge crowd making it hard to get to Kerry, maybe one of his people would take notice and help to get access to him some way.

18. Hahahah! I want to wear a hot dress too, though I suspect
if I am standing next to you, Kerry will be like "Hey, WEL, nice rack! BTW, why is your little brother wearing a dress?"

Even with my "two aspirins taped to an ironing board" chest - I still want to rock the kick-ass dress.

Hey now, no self-degradation allowed. WEAR THAT DRESS, WOMAN! I have seen you, and you are quite hot. I am sure John will want to detonate his WMD in us both ;)

So... who gets the fun job of distracting Teresa as we have our naughty way with a certain tall, well-endowed Senator?

20. We could have Tay Tay...
...rope her into a long intense conversation about Ketchup while you and I hijack him and carry him to one of the hotel's bed chambers.

Since I am married, you can have your way with him while I guard the door and cough if I see anyone... "COMING."

Bwaa-ahahahahaha!

I cannot believe you just said "THIS WILL BE SO GLORIOUS". I use that phrase almost daily. WITH EMPHASIS.

It will rock. And yes, I feel there will be a paroxysm of epic proportions while I am on lookout. I suspect we are going to leave the Senator's trousers in tatters.

Oh, Vektor, you KNOW you want a piece of that hot action. I'm sure your husband would understand.

We shall have a belated birthday toast (or three) as we celebrate the birthday of ANOTHER hot, virile, gorgeous Sagittarian. (Any chance of him rocking out with the cock out? If so, can I sequester him in a closet and shag him senseless?)

Sadly, I have to go to sleep for a little while. Getting up at 4:30 to do my clinical rotation at the hospital.

Every day is a day closer to JK's hotness.
