That was fun. Lots of jokes about people who left Boston, got confused and came back. Wonderful time. We talked MA politics a lot and how much we all wish Romney would leave.
That guy is toast.
It was a diverse group. (There was even a Republican there. Who knew they let Repubs into Malden now? I was impressed.) We talked about races coming up, how we can't kill each other just because killing other Dems is fun, doesn't mean you should do it, cuz we have to unify to get rid of Mitt the Shit. Damn it. And we talked about, hypothetically, if there was a Senate seat that should open up in, oh, say, '08, who'd win the primary? (I think that might happen. People were taking sides already, even though it's only a theoretical situation.)
And miles and miles and miles of good jokes. Typical 'What group do you belong to' jokes about the Italians, the Irish and so forth. Boston politics is so tribal. I also forgot that the farther away you get from Boston, the less funny it is. I miss that.
