on C-Span will focus on "Inside the Bubble". I can't believe this crap. C-Span is really pissing me off.

They choose this crap instead of Kerry's speech given a few weeks back.

Of course they will also show a speaking engagement of Bayh and Brownback. Give me a friggin break. :argh:

1. The producers seem to have changed tactics

Eh! Whatever. I would like to see that interview scene again. That was cool!

3. Anything is better than nothing

I can't watch the footage on my computer, so I am ashamed to say that I'm thrilled they're doing this, so I can't really complain to C-SPAN. Agreed, though, that they should have broadcast his Brown speech (was it videotaped?).

It is bad, but being ignored is actually worse than being attacked. And as I've said before, sometimes attack pieces lead you to wonderful Kerry insights. Yes, even the SBL led me to research Kerry's Vietnam experience in depth, which in turn led me to admire him so greatly.

2. Here's what I wrote

John Kerry keeps giving speech after speech, which many of us would like to see -- an address at Brown University, an address in Iowa last week --, and CSPAN doesn't even send a camera. John Kerry is a major national political figure, and CSPAN utterly ignores his major speeches. I was very disappointed to hear from an attendee at his recent Iowa event that CSPAN wasn't even taping it, much less considering putting it on Road to the White House. But now CSPAN is giving time on Road to the White House to an interview with the maker of a film that no one is taking seriously, a film that can't even get a distributor? If you want to provide a venue for that kind of thing, OK, but I can't believe that *that* made it and Kerry's important speech in Iowa, and his speech at Brown, didn't. It's starting to seem really bizarre. I hope you'll take a look at how you're covering John Kerry.

I have a friend at C-Span, and after the pitiful coverage of the DC march, he said he owes me one. Hope he makes good on his promise.

Wow. The Road to the White House has been a pretty good series so far. Mostly balanced. Mr Edwards' Harkin event was very good. So, when my guy's turn comes due, is this what he gets? I hope this isn't C-Span's idea of Sen Kerry RWH'08.
"Inside the Bubble" has been reviewed by some as an anti-Kerry film. Actually from what I've seen (trailers), it has little to do with Mr. Kerry and a lot to do with some of his staffers. Some of it's OK, parts are funny, but mostly, it's been described as deadly dull.
I expect this is not the only Kerry segment you guys are going to have in this series. It's certainly not on par with what you've done on the other potential '08 candidates.
How about a decent John Kerry RWH '08? I'd love to have seen his speech at Brown.
If your people are having a hard time finding material for a good Kerry segment, I'd be happy to make some suggestions, no charge.
BTW, I see you're out. Hope it's vacation.
