That picture is amazing - I just wish the media would have panned that (and the other) large crowds. The natural tendancy of some swing voters to follow a aimmer would have rewarded the optimism of those rallies with momentum for the campaign. (Not to mention pictures of the real positive Kerry responding to those crowds would have dispelled the notion that he couldn't connect.)

2. google news search sometimes has things from last year

and when i do a search on there for Kerry or other things i still see articles from last year which make me feel the same.

just recently there was stuff about Kerry having a lead in the polls.

3. I find stories from last year all over the place.

Kerry this, Kerry that.

It seems like it should still be last year, and that the election hasn't happened yet.

4. I've been having a lot of thoughts like that this week.

Strange, considering that for the most part, I haven't been plagued by rueful, unhappy thoughts about last year. Maybe it's because of the anniversary of the debates passing--the debates were some of my favorite parts of the whole campaign. Our guys kicked ass. My tapes of those things are actually labeled "The Slaughter, pts. 1, 2, 3 & 4."
