Different ways of getting the point across but the message was the same through out that the nuclear opition was wrong. Byrd's message was one of an old senator who has seen it through out the ages and was sad to see its rules broken, he was passionate and quite funny at times too, refering to the opition as the turnip truck opition, he drew laughs from us in the gallery, felt bad for him though as he walked away with a cane, he's way more conservative than I but he is one of the best senators ever to walk the floor and he is one of the best, Biden was just as passionate and more angered by what was happening, he brought up just how extreme the judges really were that Bush wanted and that it wasnt about a conservative judicary when in fact we got a conservative judiciary, the goal of the far right he said is to set back the US pre new deal, everything that FDR etc fought for to be destroyed. I am not a huge fan of Biden but he was right on yesterday. Didn't see Kerry speak though, not sure if he did yesterday, their statements are generally long and I dont work that long a day.
