I've hated Bartcop since the Clinton years, so this predates any Kerry bullshit he's spewed. I started hating him when he generalized all Catholics as child molesting perverts (which lots of idiots around DU do as well. I'm so glad we're the party of tolerance :sarcasm: )

I'm glad you said that about not linking to those freeper threads, because I've been thinking about saying it, myself. We don't need to help their traffic, and it's just depressing anyway.

And I'm still not convinced they're not repuke plants. Sent to divide and demoralize us. Seriously. They were talking about this on Morning Sedition today - about the Rovian plan to paralyze the opposition with a sense of doom and helplessness by overwhelming us with bad news. These people are either sent by Rove or they're playing right into his hands.

As Kerry backers it's up to us to not get into squabbles over this stuff. I actually have an idea of sorts - tell me what you think. It's a "catch more flies with honey" plan. I think when we venture out into GDland we should try hard to make jokes. It's hard to be funny on demand, but if we put on our Kerry avatars and find ways to joke around in a friendly way (mainly at the expense of * + the repukes) maybe we can help defuse some of the anger.

That won't work on Rovian plants, though...

10. Don't forget a wingnut has two sides

They're logic processes (or lack thereof) match their rightwing counterparts. But I agree. Some of them, like the one who snarked about Kerry being on two sides of the filibuster, supposedly being from Mass., and not having any awareness of what Kerry has done, just seem to clueless to be anything but freeper plants. To many RW talking points.

I linked and replied. I don't like to see the anti-Kerry things, but you can't really do anything about them except ignore or reply. I usually ignore the polls and reply to the junk. I just don't stick around to see the other replies. That way, I get my say and I can use my imagination about the rest of the posts. Sometimes, I think they are fishing for positive Kerry responses.
