Howard Dean was great and had very nice things to say about John Kerry. (So, Kos, STFU.)

We will not have an 18 state strategy next time, we will have a 50 state strategy, starting right now. We need each one of you to step for your values and to make a difference.

Massachusetts does not have bad values, Massachusetts has moral values that are the same as the nations.

2. The Greatest Senator who ever Lived

Ah, Uncle Teddy. He was introduced as and referred to constantly by every speaker as, "The Greatest Senator Who Ever Lived."

No objection here. (And yes, I love JK. He would concur on Teddy K.)

He also looked good on Face the Nation this morning.

I saw him too, and thought he looked great, if a bit grim. And well he might look grim, with what's going on in the senate.

I got a chuckle out of the way he kept talking over Elisabeth Bumiller, whether it was intentional or not!

3. "You're Still the One"

The Greatest Senator Who Ever Lived (LOL!) entered and exited to the old song, "You're Still the One." ("We're still having fun, and you're still the one!"

Teddy danced and swayed. (Not something that freeper eyes can handle.) He did a complete dancing turnaround on the podium. Uncle Teddy as a dancer, is the Greatest Senator of All Time.

(LOL! That intro kills me. Not 'might be', not 'Living Senator.' Nope! Speaker after speaker saying flat out that the Liberal Lion is the Greatest Senator in the history of the Republic. LOL!)

do you have a really powerful zoom on that camera or were you (gulp!) that close? He's never been my senator, but I know enough to take your word. :)

8. I was in the First Middlesex Senate section (MA Senate)

Up front, row 10. (We hosted the convention. We got great seats.) The camera did have a zoom, but we were that close. It was great.



This is Teddy's '06 campaign button. Pretty simple, no?

Teddy K is a very special guy in MA. He is completely loved. And so is the Junior Senator. I will put that in a separate post. And I thought I saw Cameron Kerry at the convention. (Guy about 5'11 or so, wavy hair parted on the right, profile that is unmistakeable. There is something about that nose and the deep set eyes that creates a memorable profile. I think it was Cam.)

:loveya: Teddy K is the soul of the Dem Party in MA. This is no knock on our Junior Senator. But Teddy has been through a lot. It is something to sit watch. His floor managers passed out signs with (group) for Kennedy and a big TEDDY under it. (Labor for Kennedy, Latinos for Kennedy, Women for Kennedy and so forth.) I kept the signs and brought them home. Yup, I was waving signs,, just like you saw on the big DNC convention when the floor would suddenly be filled with delgates waving different signs. It was great.

We even had a neat floor fight break out over the rules. People screaming and yelling over adopting the rules and people swearing the blue streak at big MA Party honchos. Loved it.

I love it when dems get all fired up! :) Actually, I put myself on Teddy's e-mail list a few weeks back. I get more from John and Ted than I get from Hillary, and I'm a New Yorker.
