5. Love that line
about how there isn't a single company in the country that didn't start as a small business.

Geez, with that many people scheduled to testify, questioning will be limited. Or they might go on all day. The other SSI hearing scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until I know not when.

6. What he said:
"The Administration loves to claim the pro business mantle. But if they were really candid with the American people they would clarify that most of that support, as we see in the Energy Bill or the Tax Bill means big business, not small business. And small business defintely needs assistance in regards to health care."

9. I've been reading "Call to Service"
He wrote that in 2003, or at least it was published then. And he's still talking about those same issues. He's consistently focused on the same themes, the same problems. He's steady and consistent. I could quote passages of that book, and it would sound like today. He hasn't had to change his positions because he's right.

10. Hmmm. Bully Boy is giving a speech at the SBA now.
Kerry always likes to give a contrast to whatever crap Bush is spewing. Good M.O.

11. I agree. This has been handled perfectly.
I know that not many folks are paying attention to Floor speeches, but still, this getting the Dems point of view on the issues into the news. I saw Kerry quoted as the counter-point on a story at least 5 times. (Times how many papers took the story, this is a lot.)

15. It is a speech a day.
At this rate, I'm going into withdrawal next week. (Off week for Congress.)

Tomorrow the Idiot King is having a press conference (his first without Gannon.) Wonder what Kerry will do for that.

Also, the Second FinComm Social Security Hearing is tomorrow. Lie To Me, The Sequel has a list of witnesses as long as your arm. Tomorrow's List of 'Lies Rethuglicans are trying to pass off as good for America' will be about the poor. This could be one for the ages.

Rethuglicans get a bunch of smart people together, drug them, and make them tell Rethug lies about how taking away social security from poor people really helps them (and it's what Jesus wants too! Really. Jesus preached many many sermons about how the poor are all lazy and stupid and leeches on the prosperous and we should cut them off at the knees. Right? After all, Jesus was a supply-sider and he was against welfare frauds and for the Holy Free Market, right?)

16. Smirky was so drunk sounding last night.
His speech was slurred and his hair was a gray hot mess. It's scary.
