The age of miracles is here

A great and noble miracle has occurred right here in Massachusetts! Now you can argue about the birth of two-headed cows and snakes that sit up and read Shakespeare on command, but I am talking about a real miracle. And event so rare and precious that I never thought I would live to see the day. Surely such things should be shouted from the mountain tops and proclaimed in bars across the land.

Senator John Kerry got a positive editorial in today's Lowell Sun!

OMG, they basically gave him as much credit as the one they worship at strange altars in the middle of deserted crossroads on Funeral Row in Lowell. They actually gave John Kerry a pat on the back. OMG, they commended an action he took in the Senate. Dear Lord in heaven, I am sitting here in heathen disbelief. The Lowell Sun actually liked and appreciated something he did. First the Red Sox win, now this. I never thought I would live to see either day.

I cannot believe it. They didn't talk about him in a disparaging, 'he's really a commie' way. Be still my beating heart.

OMG, surely life will never be the same. I wonder who got locked in the closet at the newsroom so that this could get written and put in the paper. Wow!

I about choked on my coffee when I saw something decent about Kerry in the Lowell Sun. They hate him as fully as hate can be articulated in moveable type. They have always hated him. They pray at altars every night that he will go back to LiberalLand (Cambridge) and leave poor Lowell, MA alone.

Sigh! All things are indeed possible in the world. A nice positive editorial from the Lowell Sun for Senator Kerry. My word, a new day dawns.

It's kind of eerily ironic. If Kerry could have figured out how to win over Lowell, he could have won over the country. From what I gather, those are the exact kind of people who should be Dem voters, but aren't.

Kerry carried Lowell in the last election. The Senator did not carry my home town. (But he came closer than he has ever come before in carrying it.) Sigh! I have a lot of work to do in this town and across the border in NH. It's fiscal conservative, Live Free of Die country and is a hard sell for Dems.

9. Holy shit. Did I READ that post correctly?

I live in Oregon, and although I know a lot about Kerry, I'm not an expert like some of you, I've never been to Mass in my life and even I know that what you just posted is INSANE. But good. Because today was a shitty day for me, thinking on-and-off about poor Senator Kerry, how sucky it is that one more day has passed during which he was not the President, how great it is that he's marching forward despite this unfairness. It just...sucked. So, thanks for the good news, Tay Tay.

I was reading the morning papers and my husband handed me the Lowell Sun. I turned to the OpEd page to have a few laughs. And they gave him an 'atta boy, John.' I about up and died. I was shocked. Someone must have put drugs in their coffee or something.

They hate John Kerry with a great big purple vengeance. They hate him, his ancestors, his clothing and any other damn thing he comes in contact with. This is a friggin miracle, honest to gawd.
