JOHN KERRY LAUNCHES VIGILANTE ATTACK ON CATS
Edited on Thu Apr-14-05 06:49 PM by Old Crusoe
AP -- Perhaps owing to his innate sense of competition, Senator John Kerry says he will not wait for the Wisconsin State Legislature to approve the cat-hunting bill currently before lawmakers in the Badger State.

To the noticeable consternation of colleagues in the Senate, Kerry has announced he is going after the rogue felines on his own. His staff and several members of various volunteer agencies that his wifeTeresa has called on will join him in this unprecedented endeavor.

The Senator's plan, according to his staff, calls for Kerry and the others to fly over the cat-afflicted regions of Wisconsin, Valkyrie-style, in what amounts to an aerial assault on the renegade kitties.

"The use of explosives and high-powered rifles should get the job done," Senator Kerry told reporters. He asked for any volunteers from the press to be in-bedded in the small-craft airplanes and helicopters to be used on the mission, but at press time, there were no takers.

Meanwhile in Wisconsin, Governor Jim Doyle told a small crowd of concerned citizens in Stevens Point, "We're moving as quickly as possible on this legislation and I frankly resent Senator Kerry's air assault plan to eradicate Wisconsin of rogue cats. It's too heavy-handed, in my opinion. Why, what if the explosives should hit somebody's house or something? That would just be a hell of a mess."

When told of Governor Doyle's remarks, Kerry scoffed and called the one-term Wisconsin Democrat "a wuss."

4. No, not to my knowledge. I just picked Stevens Point --
-- as a place a governor might have shown up.

I've avoided the cat-hunting threads so far on DU but tonight, after a visit to the "Kerry Outs CIA Agent" thread, I decided, What the hell -- let's do a Kerry Kills Cats thread, too.

even DUers have a hard time getting the facts together. Didn't it come out the same day that was posted, that no one had been outed and the analyst had been refered to by name in various papers? I swear they just like to spread manure sometimes...

I only asked about Doyle because I've only seen him once...at a Kerry rally in Appleton. I never hear that he is traveling around, but maybe I'm just not paying attention.

8. Yes -- evidently Armstrong's name had been published --
Edited on Thu Apr-14-05 07:53 PM by Old Crusoe
-- long ago, but Drudge dredged up the notion that Armstrong had been outed by Kerry and Lugar.

The thread I mentioned said that FOX was reporting that "Kerry Outed a CIA Agent."

I wonder what this person was doing listening to FOX in the first palce. Other DUers wondered the same thing.

5. Bwahahaha
There are a few rogue critters that I wouldn't mind the good Senator taking a high-powered rifle to, but they ain't kitties.

10. Hi, Dr. Ron. thanks for the link but I can't seem to get it --
- on Mac 9.2.

It loads but then the screen stays blank.

I'll keep trying later after I close out some of the other programs. Maybe that will do it.

and it worked. It's really funny. I guess maybe the SwiftLiars' most lasting legacy will be their template for parody ads.

20. Tay Tay, thank you for that & hi to you and everyone here.
I pop in from time to time -- Vektor kind of cajoled me over toward the Kerry group. I'd seen blm's posts from very early on and had gotten to respect John Kleeb's also -- but now on may posts across the boards, all of your names come up.

It was a messy night out there. As others here have mentioned, certain poster decided on a Kerry Hatefest and much confusion and fur flew from there. I tried to get a word in edgewise but thankfully many of the rest of you had already gone in and taken care of this guy.

What I'm not getting (and this goes back to last winter's primaries!) is that when I see Rick Santorum I have an almost visceral negative reaction. How can it be that "progressives" have the same reaction to John Kerry or John Edwards? Those guys were our national ticket! I wish they'd direct their anger at the bad guys and cut the good guys a break.

Sheesh.
