2. It really does - he looks completely discombobulated!
Edited on Mon May-30-11 12:14 PM by karynnj
(Not to mention that fitness freak obsessive Brown may not appreciate that slightly chubby body.) Odd that they gave him way more hair than he has and made is face almost as long as they exaggerate Kerry's.

Not to mention when something reaches joke status - it has a chance of sticking. I hope this is the beginning of a shift from the "independent, decides all bills for what is best for Massachusetts after reading them" to something more like no core principles, walking a tight rope between keeping both Massachusetts and the Republicans happy.

It also looks like his attempt to change the subject by putting out his "Jobs Agenda" in an op-ed did not work. (Maybe because everyone saw that 1) calling for the free trade treaties to pass (Negotiated by Obama), 2) calling for job retraining for those losing jobs because of the trade agreements - something Obama proposed and the Republicans are blocking and 3)boosting education - something that the Republicans fought in the stimulus bill. (It looks like his more recent talks are trying to push the idea that it is unpredictable taxes and regulations hindering job growth. This seems to be Limbaugh's latest theme too.)

His other attempt to change the topic to "Democrats (one party government) in Massachusetts are corrupt also did not change the topic and it led to criticism that he gave such a partisan speech at a graduation.

4. "discombobulated"! I love that word
it's so descriptive even in the way it sounds. And that's indeed exactly how he looks.

5. ha ha - seeing your comment, I actually looked up the meaning of the word -
"To throw into a state of confusion." This really is a word that sounds like its meaning!

3. Bein' a Senator is "hard work"
as I recall ANOTHER "great Republican mind" saying a few years ago. In his case, he was whining about bein' the President. It ain't all public appearances and lobbyists' money (although for some ...)

Things like nuance, subtle distinctions, and deep thinking just are beyond the capabilities of the Lesser Senator Brown of Massachusetts. (Not only is he the Lesser Senator of Massachusetts, he is also the Lesser Senator named Brown.) Sadly I have noticed when visiting Massachusetts the media just slobbers over every thing the lesser one says or does.

Hooray for Wasserman for bucking the Massachusetts media trend, and here's hoping the voters of Massachusetts decide to get a REAL senator this time out instead of an empty-headed pin-up.

6. "An empty-headed pin-up" LOL...LOVE it!
Edited on Tue May-31-11 03:51 PM by ObamaKerryDem
 Because it is true, of course! All too true. Glad at least SOME local MA media are starting to pick up on it!

LOVE this cartoon! Just posted to my FB and Twitter. The more it gets out there, the more it will stick (well, hopefully at least!)

Talk about "flip flops"! We better hear a lot of that term during Brown's re-election campaign...or if Romney gets nominated (especially). They unfairly affixed that label to JK..but these guys deserve it!!

BTW, I haven't seen you in this group before--are you new? (I joined in 2009 so you may have been here before and I just missed you). In either case, welcome aboard.. or welcome back! :toast:

7. Awk Here's Brown speaking on Memorial Day
I bet a 10 year old JK, pretending to be a Senator (or President), could have written and given a better speech than this.

I mean he really says "that he asks the people in his household, especially the kids, why?" This is the man of the people? (The "people" in his family are two bright young adults and a wife, who is a newscaster - what is he talking about? )
