(At this point, the only questions are one I wrote and a snarky one saying that as there are no questions, they should cancel it.)

3. I just submitted mine!
Edited on Mon Apr-20-09 03:44 PM by ObamaKerryDem
I'm azdem1986. I'm so glad I saw this in time! (I think..he's meeting with them at 4 PM ET tomorrow, right?). Here's hoping at least one of our questions gets asked! :) Some of the other people who left ?s/comments on there--some clearly Kerry haters--were just plain rude (like the one from IronMike, about him being a traitor--Freeper much? x() and I hope get ignored by the editors when they go to select these.

Thanks for sharing this! One question though--I made an error in my first post, but couldn't figure out how to edit it so submitted a corrected one right afterward. How do I delete that one? Maybe it's just because I'm new to the site, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that? Help?
 lol..

6. After seeing your comment - I alerted too

It is disgusting that Senator Kerry has had the kind of garbage thrown at him since 1971 - just for having the guts to stand up and tell the truth.

At least they got rid of the nut job birth certificate idiot's post.

Most of the other negative posts really give Kerry great platforms to correct them. Like on the global warming one that suggests there are many scientists on the other side, the question on debt, and the why do you hate our freedoms nonsense. (He didn't pick Faneuil Hall just because it was close to his house.) In 2004, I always thought that he was more impressive on negative questions because he always just calmly gave a thoughtful answer.

8. I'm glad you did that. What...
...bothered me most is his use of the word 'traitor' in reference to a decorated veteran, sitting senator, and patriotic human being who stands up for his country's values. It's WAY PAST TIME to stand up to that ****.

9. I'm glad I saw your post
I thought the post was despicable, but I've seen that language used far too often against the Senator, who is everything you say plus an incredibly decent person. It has happened enough I was kind of desensitized, so I hadn't alerted - and it deserves alerting.

...just the wrong day for me. :7

Edited to add:

I just saw your newest post...Kudos! :toast: THAT was an excellent rebuttal...succinct and to the point.

I especially liked this reference to the lack of coverage in the 2004 campaign: "If you missed this, you weren't alone. To hear much of Kerry's outstanding speeches and rallies, you had to watch them on CSPAN. Other than his convention speech and the three debates, there was very little unfiltered coverage of Kerry."

12. And that was because I am sick to death of the claim that
Kerry was Bush lite. The fact is that Trippi positioned the moderate governor to Kerry's left. Dean did not have to vote on teh IWR, but his September/October comments where he was for Biden/Lugar place him with Kerry. Looking at al their comments, if anything Dean was more aggressive. But, Dean in January through March was more aggressively anti-war, but that was both their different demeanors and the fact that Kerry in February/March was having cancer surgery and recovering. The media labeled him anti war, in spite of his vote, until late spring 2003. There was a February 2004, NYT article where Dean spoke of Kerry as being Bush lite - saying there was no difference on Iraq, speaking of lobbyists and corporations - the latter too being exactly what the Trippi managed Edwards spouted. In Kerry's case, Dean had more corporation "problems" (Montsanto) than Kerry.

But al that matters less than the fact that Kerry was more change than anyone who ran since maybe Gary Hart. It was not a change year.

13. I loved that post, too!
all the bits about 2004-- the (lack of) press coverage, the fact that JK is more liberal than the main 2004 and 2008 candidates. . . all of it.Just terrific!

15. This is now playing on a loop on:
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2009/04/65817063/1

It is 30 minutes long and very in depth; scroll for spoilers:

Kerry did NOT recommend Caroline Kennedy for the Vatican. He didn't think it a good idea.
Kerry speaks of it being good the torture memos are out, spoke of need for accountability
He proposes a non governmental examination of them - (I'm not sure I like this idea - but I do get his point that in the House or Senate it would fall victim to partisan politics.
Strong answer on why we should deal with Sudan leaders even though they committed genocide.
