The Boston Herald endorses Kerry

It's even a good endorsement:

As chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship he has worked tirelessly to improve access to credit to those hard-pressed businesses which are the real generators of jobs in this state and in this nation. That help, he insists, should not have to wait for a stimulus package.

4. Not really that surprising. If the GOP had had a real candidate, it is possible that the Herald

would have endorsed him, but, in the absence of a real candidate, they are not going to look stupid endorsing somebody who has not shown any ability.

They did the same thing in 2006, when Kennedy was running against another unknown candidate, Chase. They endorsed Nikki Tsongas, against Ogonowski.

3. Oh, NICE acknowledgement from the Salem News!!!

Kerry is among the most respected members of the Senate who has a firm grasp on issues both foreign and domestic.

At the same time, he has paid plenty of attention to local issues, whether its been fighting for modified catch limits important to the survival of the region's fishing fleet, promoting the importance of Hanscom Air Force Base as an incubator for advanced information technology, or lobbying for federal funds to keep needed highway and public transportation improvements on track.
