New videos at JKMediaSource
Edited on Fri Sep-19-08 03:55 PM by Noisy Democrat
Just wanted to let you-all know that there are a few new things to see at JKMediaSource. On the front page, we have the video I took of JK's victory speech the other night -- I was very lucky to squeeze into a spot close to the stage and at a better angle than what NECN got, so you can see JK's face clearly.

Also on the front page, I've uploaded my music vid "Bring Me to Life." I have *always* wanted to get to show it to people at highest quality -- which is still not anywhere near crystal clear, because of the materials I made it from -- so I saved it at a much higher resolution than any other video on the site. It may take a long moment before it starts playing, but depending on bandwidth, it may play without delay or pauses; once your computer has the whole file, of course, it can play straight through without pauses. Anyway, I'm glad that I finally got to put it up in a version that looks the same way that it has always looked in the original version on my hard drive. ETA: Determined not to be a one-hit vidder, I am working on another JK music vid. Very slowly. I hope it'll be done before he finishes his next Senate term. :)

Finally, at http://www.jkmediasource.org/node/130 we've got a better version of JK's DNC speech -- it includes a cute moment at the end as JK is about to walk off the stage -- and don't miss the interaction between THK and Michelle Obama after that. (For some reason we've had technical difficulty cutting off the last few seconds, where it segues into another copy of the speech, but the part I mean is before that oddity -- about 30 seconds before the end.)

I'd missed that little bit at the end of the DNC speech when I saw the speech in real time. Every time I rewatch the video (as I did just now) , I am impressed anew. Initially, I'd blamed the teleprompter for his slightly rushed pace. Now I think the rushed pace reflected his own personal urgency in delivering that message. That urgency is just palpable. And to see the delegates stand, and cheer. Oh, yeah. Fantastc,

And you got me to watch Bring me to Life again. Video quality is better now, thanks. For some reason, the part that really gets me most of all is seeing that train, "Believe in America", hurtling off into the distance. . oh, my.

good energizing start for the weekend.
