Kerry2008 got tombstoned
maybe he will try to get back on. but based on some posts it seems like he kind of wanted it. he also kept on continuing flamewars by starting new threads rather than just let it go or respond in existing threads.

2. Probably got tired to post here and decided to end it in flame.
The climate is getting worse and worse on GDP, with some people on both sides getting completely overboard and asking for total submission either to Obama or to Hillary Clinton. Everybody who dares to make a criticism of Obama is called a PUMA, and everybody who makes a criticism of Hillary is send to hell.

I think last night did not help for the Clinton supporters. She gave a great, great speech, but this speech gave an idea of what could have been, and, for some, it hurt more than it helped.

3. Hmmm. Maybe. I thought her speech was good, and she said
what I needed to hear. I was fine with it. I just read a post on dkos about someone who was remembering Obama speak for the first time in '04. The poster was still "really sore" that Kerry defeated Dean. So, I guess it takes a lot of time to get over these sorts of things.

4. And there in lies the problem

All those people who claimed the divisiness was good for the party (don't kid anyone, that's what they were saying when the supported the continuataion of the nasty track the primary took) were wrong.

This speech was necessary because of the primary. while it has brought some people around, there are those who will use it to claim that she was cheated and become more upset that she wasn't the VP choice.

So be it. IMO, it would have been better to cut the divisiveness months ago instead of letting it creep up to become a focus at the convention.

5. I have mixed feelings about him being tomestoned
He was beyond annoying and he recently attacked almost all of us, but I think he is a pretty confused kid. I suspect that at some point he bought into some reasons to reject Obama (or they might have just been present in his values.) He went from Kerry to Edwards to Clinton - becoming a strong advocate to each. We need to get people like him to see that Obama shares their values, while McCain doesn't. If we can't win disaffected Democrats how do we win independents?

On the other hand, he likely created a lot of work for the moderaters - as he likely got many alerts.

6. That's too bad. He was one of Kerry's better defenders for a while.

The super-extended primary season was so hard on so many. Sounds like he basically cracked under the strain.
