Revenge!!!! It can be sweet.

(Watch the video about the "keys")

What I love about the idea is that it is not mean spirited -- it is just good old fashioned fun. But it is to GET THEM BACK for the purple heart band aids.

Also, anyone see this?

Rush in 2004:

I mean, (Kerry)'s been there, but he's basically a skirt-chaser, folks. He's a gigolo. . . .Kerry is cheap. Most gigolos are. I mean -- I think it -- I think it goes with the, with the definition. . . .What do you consider a fair wage? John Kerry considers a fair wage a wife with 500 million. So, he had to find a company that had one. Well, there aren't too many of these companies that have little heiresses running around that are single, have 500 million that some guy can marry into. . . .Because see, Al Gore's daddy was a senator and Al Gore's daddy worked his way up from wealth and power to wealth and power. I mean, he got more of it than anybody ever dreamed of for having as little to go on. I mean, he's one of those old boys. You know how that worked back then. Then John Kerry's daddy is his wives. (laughter) I mean, he's a gigolo. Everybody knows this. There's nobody in our party really has much respect for this guy and you can see it last night, but I can't say that. I mean, you got sugar daddy wife back then. You got sugar daddy wife now. He worked his way up from a blue blood to a platinum American Express card, and it doesn't have his name on it.

Well, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, isn't it? Not only that, here are the differences:

1. Kerry KNEW how many houses he had, which totals 5.
2. Kerry owns the Boston house jointly with Teresa, while McCain apparently doesn't own ANY of the houses with Cindy.
3. Kerry didn't call his opponent "elitist" like McCain did.
4. Kerry didn't push for tax cuts for the rich.
5. Kerry didn't tell struggling homeowners to "get a second job" and "skip their vacations".
6. Kerry didn't say the economy was "fundamentally sound" in the midst of a recession and record foreclosures.

I am SO loving this. Get those jerks back for 2004, but in a funny light hearted way.

Kerry didn't hire a scandal-linked lobbyist to write any of his policies

2. It's better than revenge, in a way, because
Repubs (and the media) are usually the ones constantly pushing the "authenticity" meme. Not only did they bring this stuff up in '04, they insisted that it mattered.

Dems in '04 could be confronted with the facts of John Kerry's wealth, and say, "Who cares?" But Republicans wrote the anti-elitist meme. Ha! 'Tis the sport to have the enginer/Hoist with his own petar.

4. You can watch it here:

For some reason he disabled the embedding code.

Edit: Oh, poor guy. He started receiving e-mails by "weirdos", and disabled it.

If he all around takes it down, basically, his idea is for everyone at the convention to have a ring of keys (8 or so, depending on how many houses McCain actually has), labelled as "John McCain's house keys". Then conventioneers can kling them and just have fun with it. As I say, it is not cruel at all. Just having a little fun.

5. It doesn't get the jerks back at all. (Sorry to sound grumpy about this.)
Those jerks insulted every member of our troops who currently serve or who had served. They put into question anyone's war wounds and military service. They've cheapened the troops who we're suppose to honor.

So while it may pick on McCain a little bit, it is never-ever going to be a 'revenge' for the purple hearts.

Our vets deserve(d) much better than that. And I hope those people who wore those band-aids-purple hearts can't walk up the street without someone giving them the finger--and hopefully that stranger giving them a finger is a Vet, too!

6. No, I am talking about the GOP base & their operatives. They were the ones
sporting the band aids. This time, it is THEIR candidate who will be mocked.

And like I said, this is a light hearted jab. It is not mean at all, which is why I approve of it.
