3. No, not really. Just different commenters from last night. The Kerry hate

was very loud and clear on DailyKos last night, and I'm still recovering from the very unpleasant task of defending Kerry against a mob of Kerry haters. But today there are different people who have rec'd and commented on a positive diary about Kerry. Even there, there are comments saying Kerry "swiftboated" Clark.

4. I agree - yesterday's diary was very angry and very negative
Completely ignoring everything else in that appearance and siding 100% with Clark. I think they are, misguided, but they may see it as like HRC's November 2006 statement - which it isn't. The problem is that Clark in saying this was 180 degrees away from how Obama and surrogates like Kerry were handling it. This was not skipping one word, but failing to grasp that people who do sacrifice for the country by volunteering to service do deserve credit - it is part of their resume.

Clark seems to feel that only high level service is relevant. This was true in his 2004 and his 2008 comments. That is not Kerry's view - and especially from his late 2005 effort to get American soldiers out of search and Destroy and policing, it is easy to make the case that without Vietnam he might not have been able to explain it from the soldiers point of view. So, in addition to Clark (not Kerry) having a tin ear on this, it is fundamentally wrong.

5. No comparison. Also,

Clark agreed with Obama's statement, which is the point Kerry made.

I noticed the comment in beachmom's post. Do these people believe Clark "swiftboated" Clark? Ridiculous.

6. Just to be clear - I certainly wasn't saying the comparison had merit
just that for some of these angry Clark people, unwilling to accept even that Clark accepts there was a problem, it could explain the depths of their anger.
