In Ohio, we did have some impact from Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos," where he encouraged Republicans to cross over and vote for Clinton to mess things up for the Democrats. It was covered in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, with some truly great minds :sarcasm: mad that they couldn't get a Republican ballot for the rest of the offices. (Okay, they listen to Limbaugh ... they ain't so bright) And if they listen to Limbaugh, we can guess that they listen to Bill-o and Sean. Many of the rural votes that went to Hillary came from really, really, really conservative Republican counties that will go for McCain in the GE. Truthfully, if I were working for Hillary, I'd be less than excited about where the Ohio votes came from.
In both Ohio AND Pennsylvania, Obama was up against the state party machine. It was very, very obvious that Clinton had the Ohio machine behind her. All the state resources were behind HER, and Obama's people got little or no support. The same held true in Pennsylvania.
In each case, Hillary was supposed to mop the floor with Obama, by 20 points or more. He cut into her lead in each case.
