1. It's funny because he is caught in the web of his own lies
All of his statements - which range the gamut of it never happened to this statement that Kerry asked if he would consider it - can't all possibly be true. Kerry on the other hand spoke of it once - just once.

The anger is a clear sign he is lying - if it were true, why would there be a cause for agitation. The reason is that as Prosense and others documented he was the source for all that nonsense and he played with it - it didn't come from Kerry. (He's also back to declaring Kerry a friend. I remember a few Imus shows where he denied being on a speaking basis with him.)

2. It was MSM buzz for a bit
I remember hearing how it would be a good thing ... JK and his "friend" McCain ... crossing the aisles. Thing is with 24/7 news coverage, there is a lot of babbling going on. I remember that as being part of the babble.

3. Whereas JK doesn't babble
When Larry King asked him how he felt about his "friend" McCain last night, JK said plainly that McCain is a friend and then went on to decry his public policies and politics in no uncertain terms. It was clear that what friendship they have is JK's business and no one else's. The issue at hand is how McCain behaves in the public arena. True moral compass, as always...

4. Here's some clips of him flip-flopping around on it
in 2004. So much for running an above board campaign. He could have redeemed himself with a lot of people by telling the truth about JK and the swift boat liars. But nooo, he has to keep pandering to the haters.

5. Gee, I thought it was the other way around. McCain went and asked Senator Kerry.
McCain has changed his story so much, it is easy to see why he gets mad when asked about it- he don't even know what the real truth is any more and he is afraid of being caught in one of his lies.
