The comments so far make me proud because of the clear recognition of JK's superiority on the issues and the way he expresses his wisdom and experience in debate. It also struck me that he *is* in effect debating HRC when he stumps for Obama. Not in any way in a negative sense, but rather in an assertion of his own ideals, assessment of the national and global situation and his vision for what America can be. I think that's why I've been so happy and relieved to hear him speak up for Obama; it feels like his voice has been inserted into the national conversation and it has incredible value.
the Obama supporter's Dkos diary that proclaimed happily his surprise that Kerry was proving to be a better surrogate than Bill Clinton. I doubt that surprised anyone here, but it does show that he is being recognized as the true statesman and classy person he is.
He is a very powerful voice. No matter who the candidate is, there will likely be no Democrat who will not want him heard in the general election.
