Trying desperately not to reply to these people.

Why does the left have to sound so much like the right. On person out there on the thread that wouldn't die is accusing John of being elitist because expanding the military will save his children and the children of his "rich friends" from being drafted. She accuses him of using the military and their families as political fodder for 08 because this plan of his will make him look strong on defense and will win the military vote, and she accuses him of giving Bush a blank check for war.

Alert, alert, alert. Hopefully she will go bye bye. I've been pretty successful today in alerting people and getting their flamebait deleted. Only got deleted myself a couple of times. A good thing.

This time, I'm doing my best not to respond, but to JUST alert. It ain't easy. I want to slap this person upside the head and let her know Kerry is NOT that kind of person. He would never use the military to score political points.

But, you know, that "Mom" poster is an old school Kerry hater, nothing you say is going to change that.

I really don't understand these people... It's not like I agree with everything Kerry's ever said or done - but the motives the Kerry haters assign to him are just.... nuts. They paint one of our most liberal Senators as some kind of right wing opportunist warmonger. I think quite a few people who post here at DU have serious mood disorder problems. That's the polite way of saying it...

I wish we had a score card. It would be calling out posters in a post, but it would be nice for a semi-newbie to be able to identify long-time Kerry haters at a glance. I have a few names in my head, but I did not know this woman.

I'm tryin' J17, I'm tryin'. It would be easier to ignore "them" if I knew who they were as opposed to just someone who disagrees. Oh, I know about a half dozen on site. But I'm sure there are more.

anytime they say something such as Kerry is just like Bush or he is a sell out or doesn't care about the troops and other crap that means they are attacking him . that's not a disagreement but just someone looking to bash him.
