THK Blog Tour--Day Four: Poverty, Women, and the Environment

I asked Teresa about what women in my neighborhood (inner city, widespread poverty) could do from an environmental standpoint to improve the lives of their families. They can't afford to drive clear across town to shop organic markets or pay extra for green-friendly household products. Teresa has some excellent suggestions and starting points--like how to choose the healthiest non-organic fruit, and efforts that can be done on a neighborhood basis. It was very inspiring advice that I want to send to our neighborhood newsletter. Check it out!

5. That is so inspiring

It's just so excellent. This is the second time she has given direct recommendations on how to use what economic clout one has to make change. Usually activists are intimidated away from 'boycott' type actions, but she is saying you have to get the attention of the financial section to make the big changes. Love the rest of it too, that just jumped out at me again.
