Twisting of words?

I am not for rehashing the past (November 2004), but I was thinking about a thread last night about Kerry "promising" to count all the votes.

I went back and watched that video for that line only cause the rest was painful, but I think Kerry's words got twisted (distorted?) when he said "Once all the votes are counted, and believe me, they will be counted" it was taken to assume that "Kerry promised to count the votes" with other tired lines I will not repeat cause we have heard them all before.

Of course, the media didn't help either.

2. Well for starters, his statement was made incorrect

The votes were not counted. To this day, they haven't been counted. But Kerry wasn't in a place to accomplish that. Until we cleaned house last year, Ohio's government was beyond corrupt. Apparently the vote counts were stored on a system which hosted the RNC website network. 'Nuff said.

Also, even in Florida in 2000, with the power of the Executive branch, Al Gore didn't get the votes counted. I'd remind whoever is saying this of that fact.

3. Thanks for the clarification

It was from a thread/question (answered over and over again) about why Kerry didn't count the votes like he promised. Despite the good press he (and Momma T) have gotten with TMOE, Kerry was Right memo, I think the blogosphere still hold that (and IWR vote) against him. :shrug:
