Once again, the Herald sinks to new lows.
Is this a newspaper or toilet paper? What a filthy rag!

Effing Howie Carr can go straight to Hell. I've got an idea, let's ship this SOB off to Iraq.

Sen. John Kerry could learn something from ex-Gov. Jane Swift.

Namely, shut up! When you’re yesterday’s news and you couldn’t get elected dogcatcher and nobody expects you to do anything, keep your big trap shut and just order another drink - or cruller, as the case may be.

Notice the different ways these two political has-beens have been behaving this week. First, Kerry - he’s in Davos, with the Beautiful People, and he just can’t help himself, can he?

more rubbish

2. Couldn't say it better than that
Also, how does being a Senator, with some pretty good chairmanships equal having no polical career?
Doesn't he get you have to be invited to Davos.

Kerry is not running for President, but when he said so, he was still on the list of the 10 me most likely to win. Will Howie be upset when Kerry wins in 2008?

4. Jerks
So much for having all the negativity stop, when Kerry stopped running for President.

Um dog catcher? Well this dog catcher almost (and maybe did) beat president Bush.

5. BoHeard gets its kicks off
Mon Dieu! Send Kerry to Paris: He’d be at home with rest of the blame-America crowd

While this piece of trash refurbishes the gutter in which it resides, there is real news.

6. Ah, back to normal with the Herald
I thought they were going soft last week when they actually had Howie say that there is no one in the Commonwealth who can beat Kerry for that Senate seat. (It must have killed Howie to have to eat that particular shit sandwhich.)

So, now we have Howie's revenge: Kerry should go to France and be one of them 'murica haters. Bite me Howie. He's just all happy cuz Kerry's not going anywhere and this means Howie doesn't have to go look for real work but can continue to mail in columns based on his Kerry hatred.

Howie Carr is a bottom-feeding hack. He has always been this and always will be this. He has been agitating for the Mass Rethugs for decades and, as a result of his efforts and those of his buddies like Mitt Romney, the MAss Repub Party now controls 5 out of 40 Mass Senate seats and 21 out of 160 House seats in the Mass legislature. People may read Howie for the high clown factor, but they sure as shit aren't listening to his advice in the voting booth.

Howie Carr, proof positive that God has a sense of humor.

9. Wow -- that's a pathetic showing for the GOP. That's almost unhealthy.
As much as I love the Dems, I'm not a big believer in overwhelming one party rule -- it never works out long term. Hopefully, some moderate Republicans will find a message that resonates to create some balance there. It would actually benefit the Dems to have some Republicans keep any potentially corrupt Dems in line (like the DeMint amendment along with some honest Dems like Kerry, Obama and Webb did in the Senate).

10. Exactly so.
The Mas Rethugs, under Romney, attempted to bring the national social conservative model to Massachusetts where it doesn't fit. At all. The Rethugs will grow again when they run more Bill Weld types and stop with the 'gay marriage is evil' stuff.

Fortunately, as Robert Reich said in 2002, we do have two strong political parties in Massachusetts. One is the Democratic Party. The other is the Democratic Party.

11. Yeah, someone should put that on Romney's resume
I hope he manages to do for the national Republican party what he did to the Mass GOP. (send people running & screaming in the other direction) He basically decimated his party in this state.

12. The Republicans could go extinct tomorrow and I wouldn't miss them one bit.
They're the past and will become obsolete one day (the sooner the better).

The future belongs to progress and the Republican Party is an anachronism of a time that should never, ever come again.

Single party rule is not good, but why do we need Republicans? Almost any other party would be preferable as a replacement. Two party rule has enjoyed a good run, and it did work for the country in the past, but it would be really nice to see other parties emerge as serious contenders and the Republican Party fade to a memory.

8. I actually think this kind of crap
works to Kerry's benefit. It's just so flat-out mean-spirited and ugly, and has so little basis in demonstrable fact, that if anything it will push all but the wingnut contingent solidly in Kerry's corner. People around here like snark, but they don't like meanness. Witness the Kerry Healey campaign backfire last fall.

this extent then he is doing something right.

14. I completely agree with this
Howie Carr is a bottom-feeding scumbag. The fact that he hates and has always hated Kerry is sort of a badge of honor.
