Apparently the U.S. government kidnapped a canadian citizen and brought him to Syria where he was promptly ...TORTURED. Leahy asked Gonzalez about it at a Judiciary Committee hearing. Gonzalez said he'd follow up with a response later ... but of course no word yet.

1. Leahy seemed mad as hell
about this. I trust him to follow up on this without much prompting, he is one of the very good guys I think.
