I think all the key speeches are right here, with titles "Science and Innovation", "Energy Independence", etc. Kind of debunks the myths that Kerry didn't talk about these issues. Anyway, if you want to bookmark for future reference:

This is a great resource - this will come in handy - when a certain candidate's fans are delusional enough to think his 5 priorities were never spoken of by anyone before.

3. Not quite all of them are there.

The 10/25 Philadelphia speech isn't there. :-(

Well, it was a "key" speech to me! ;-)

That was the first time I saw him speak in person, and it was probably the day that turned me from a supporter into a believer.

4. It was THE MEDIA that didn't talk about the issues

They mainly just talked about pop psychology, haircuts, useless poll results, campaign process, body language, and just about any retarded non-issue that can fill up the alloted space without having to do any actual, you know, research about policy.

I guess the media did such a wonderful job preparing us for the Iraq invasion, they figured they could take it easy on the most important political choice - informed or otherwise - Americans will ever make.

As a side note, these are great speeches and a tremendous resource, but his most substantial policy speeches were deliered much earlier in the campaign.

5. Kerry's essential policies haven 't changed

You can go back to speeches from early in his Senate career and they jibe with what he is saying now. He has always been a rational voice for dealing with foreign policy and an advocate for fairness in foreign policy. He has been remarkably consistent in his public speeches ever since he first went to the Senate in 1985.

My favorite campaign speeches in 2005 where the Acceptance Speech and the speech at NYU in mid Sept. They were both really good and great 'red meat' speeches for Democrats. (While being consistent with what Kerry has always said.) There was a writer for the Chicago Tribune who kept up a blog while at the Democratic Convention in Boston. He had my favorite commentary after the Acceptance Speech. He said something like, "Whoa, that was way harsher than I was led to believe would happen. Kerry really took out his whacking stick and proceeded to hit George Bush over the head with it from start to finish." LOL! True.
