Right now I'm just so glad that I drove to see him on Saturday. He missed our family reunion because he was sick and I hadn't seen him in awhile (we live at opposite sides of the country.

8. well on friday we thought they thought it was a virus

but now he has a staph infection that spread to his lungs. he had a lung collapse a few years ago so that probably contributed to the seriousness of the situation. he's in his mid 30s. And, as luck would have it, he was at home in Illinois (staying with his mom for the holidays) when it happened.
