Medicare Benefit Will Cover Viagra

WASHINGTON - Sexual performance drugs like Viagra will be covered by Medicare's new prescription benefit beginning next year, along with medications for other conditions like high blood pressure and heart disease, Health and Human Services (news - web sites) officials said Tuesday.

And like those other drugs, prescriptions for Pfizer Inc.'s Viagra will be tightly controlled. The law, which takes effect Jan. 1 at a cost of more than $500 billion over a decade, says Viagra can be prescribed only when medically necessary, and in limited quantities.

even if they can't vote.

and that's just the thing, while we often hear of the need to take care of elder people and i agree that we should, it's the kids who suffer the most . little kids and younger adults. but kids can't vote and older people are one of the groups with the best voting records.

we need to get kids involved and get them to get their parents and other older people in their families to vote in their interest.
