Now you tell me people how does a Bushlite get a 105 from the UAW
:)
or 100's from the NAACP through out his career or a lifetime score of 92 from the LCV or a 92 from Americans for Democratic Action. I'll tell you, he doesnt because John Kerry is anything but a Bushlite. Bushlite is the most bs word.

1. Could you also tell me how a Bushlite
would get a HRC (Human Rights Campaign, pro-gay group) rating of 100%?
I'm tired of hearing JK being called Bushlite, when he so bloody isn't!

3. Have a Deaniac friend who thinks he has to hate Kerry because of IWR
I'm glad there are sane Deaniacs like elshiva around who like ALL good Dems- Kerry, Dean, etc etc...

I don't get it  It boggles my mind. Kerry is one of the most liberal senators in the senate, and this is a GOOD thing.

4. Elshiva is part of why I am not so judgemental on them anymore
I admit it, I got judgemental because of some terrible experiences in GD. Thing is I dont think Kerry would be hated so much if he didnt vote for the resolution, its sad really, they wont admit its that one vote but it damn well is.

11. Blush, Blush, Blush! Thanks Kleeb and WildEyedLiberal
Thanks, guys, I love you for your sweet comments.
I don't know many other Derryiacs besides myself. There are probably more out there because someone besides me made up the term Derryiac. All I can say is that the very vocal Deaniacs are usually those who are still bitter about losing the nomination and want to get back at Kerrycrats.
I have one friend who still likes Kerry and also likes Dean. I was originally a little vexed at Dean losing to Kerry and when I whined about, she said, "But if we don't support Kerry more liberal candidates, won't get in." Afterwards I conceded and actually learned more about Kerry and got to love him. (She was also the one who told me about the balloon)
I find that more "Deaniacs" hate on Kerry than Kerrycrat hate on Dean. I love the DFA website and the DFA DU forum for the stuff about Dean, but I can't stand the bloggers hating on Kerry. "Deaniacs" is in quotes here cos I think real followers of Dean would be pro-Kerry. The IWR is big dividing line between Kerry and Dean, but Dean supported Kerry wholeheartedly and campaigned for him. And Kerry supported the possibility of Dean as the DNC chair in the MTP interview, by debunking the myth that Dean is too liberal to head our party.

12. I hate how they try to make it like Kerry hates Dean
because Kerry feels Dean is a threat. I admit when Ive been judgemental, I am sorry I was, I just wish people would promote their caniddate instead of trashing others, I remember after Kerry won Iowa, some of the Dean and Clark people tried forming an alliance to stop Kerry after complaining about supposed stop Dean moments form the other camps.

14. My message to Deaniacs is that's primaries, for you, hon.
Get the frick over it. Support Dean for Chair like I do, but work for anyone who gets it. This is the most Deaniac thing to do because Dean is a no surrender, 100% Democrat. He's not and never will be a lefty freeper who hates on good, responsible Democrats like Kerry.

Not being a Roman Catholic, but being an admirer all things RC, I'm sad to see him fall like that. Him and Hillary Clinton in one week, God help them!

7. the problem with that is they usually ONLY use that to attack Kerry
Edited on Mon Jan-31-05 11:24 PM by JI7
almost nobody else is constantly attacked and hated for based on that one vote as Kerry is.

Tom Harkin voted for it but he is ok with many of them who hate Kerry since Harkin endorsed Dean.

and if IWR is the standard to judge by then i guess Pat Buchanan is a liberal since he opposed that.

8. and hes against NAFTA
Buchanan that is. Actually the best example for this would be Ron Paul, a republican who opposes IWR, Patriot Act, and NAFTA. Now, lemme tell you, I would rather have Kerry over that Libertarian wannabe Ron Paul.

13. I hate NAFTA, but I don't think it makes him Bushlite.
I just think NAFTA is a grind on on the third world with all those damn sweat shops.
So, JK's pro-NAFTA? But, I thought he was also against outsourcing? A guess there is a difference between the two, but not too much.
The thing about JK is that I think he can and will rethink NAFTA, because he's not afraid to say he made mistakes. It doesn't bother me too much because NAFTA is not his fault really...well sorta I don't know. The one thing I do know is that I don't like Clinton that much for doing NAFTA in the first place...
