3. You know, I don't think any of these people supported Kerry in

the '04 primary, do you? Has anyone ever read someone say -- I worked really hard for Kerry in the primaries and he let me down. I haven't. And, yet, Kerry won the primaries quite easily. So I think there is a disconnect between the netroots (especially Kos) and the real world.

Those people are nasty, but they hated him in '04; they're just using new excuses to justify that hatred.

6. I am honestly fed up with dKos

Reading that thread has made my blood pressure skyrocket. The original post is great, but the comments contain every right-wing slur that was used to attack Kerry, spouted as TRUTH by these idiots.

If I hadn't outed myself as working for JK's PAC, I would post what they call a "goodbye cruel world" diary calling them out as the mindless drones and glorified trolls that they are. That thread shows that they LAP UP the right-wing, vapid MSM, and swiftie memes and let those statements become their truth. They have nothing but contempt for the non-techie-elite, the non-netroots, and view people as ignorant and brainwashed by the media, but they are completely and utterly fucking blind to the fact that THEY HAVE IT WORST OF ALL. THEY jack off to the "power of da NETROOTS!!!" and go on about what a FORCE they are, CHALLENGING the old media, but slurp up whatever right-wing memes they possibly can.

They don't care about America. All that they want is to win, so that they can lord it over Republicans. They don't love or even like Democrats; they just HATE BUSH. Many of them, starting with the king fuckwad himself, are Reagan Republicans minus fundamentalism. They think the world owes them everything (a classic Republican mindset) and they themselves are demigods incapable of EVER making a mistake. Oh no, it's not THEIR fault, they worked their fingers off (in between cleaning their sticky thighs after they finish with the Deanscream centerfolds), going on and on about the imagined faults of the candidate of the party they supposedly support. They are not liberals or even their favorite wishy-washy term, "progressives," they're just ill-mannered, self absorbed, immature fucking CRANKS.

I am just unbelievably angry right now over the comments in that diary. In addition to the one parroting swiftie language ("Unfit" -- yeah like THAT wasn't intentional), there's that old troll "lightnessofbeing," who simply cannot keep off any diary related to Kerry. And all the ones who were whining "oh I WORKED SO HARD and he ABANDONED" me, either apparently by not calling Bush a belligerent imbecilic asshole on national television, or by not raising holy hell about something that still, unfortunately, can't be proven... destroying the issue of election systems reform for decades to come, along with it.

They suck up anything that the Republicans put out, let it enter their consciousness, constantly second-guess themselves, and find a reason to attack any good Democrat. Kerry has done more to put the House and Senate in Democratic hands than anyone on that website, and they attack him for things that took place two, three, four years ago -- as well as things that are outright lies and distortions. Someone even attacked him for calling for Alito's filibuster from Europe! How much of a right-wing attack is THAT? That's who made it originally.

They don't want to believe -- Kos has been posting for awhile that we "WON'T" win either chamber of Congress this year. Not that we shouldn't take it for granted, but that we flat-out will not do it. Echoing precisely what the White House, the RNC, and the right-wing blogs say, all the while subconsciously (or perhaps consciously) depressing people. They don't get it.

And they wonder how it is that the Republicans have a better GOTV operation. They truly wonder. But then, they can't ever do anything wrong.
