Oh and BTW, The Dictator of America whined about critics again today
This was in the WaPo:

Bush Both Attacks, Defends on Iraq

By Michael A. Fletcher
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, September 29, 2006; Page A12

BIRMINGHAM, Sept. 28 -- In his sharpest partisan attack of this election campaign, President Bush Thursday denounced Democratic critics of his Iraq policy and said "the party of FDR and the party of Harry Truman has become the party of cut and run."

Seeking to rebut Democrats who say a new intelligence report indicates that Iraq is fueling terrorism rather than helping to counter it, Bush said voters face a choice "between two parties with two different attitudes on this war on terror."

Republicans, he said, "understand the nature of the enemy. We know the enemy wants to attack us again," whereas Democrats "offer nothing but criticism, and obstruction and endless second-guessing."

Despite assertions in a recently declassified intelligence report that the war in Iraq has become "a cause celebre" that is inspiring new jihadists and fueling anti-Americanism, Bush restated his position that the country is safer since the March 2003 invasion of Iraq. Absent the war, he said, extremists would only find other excuses to attack Americans and other Westerners.

He said that leaving Iraq before that country is stabilized would embolden terrorists while exposing the United States to economic blackmail and the prospect of even-more-lethal threats.

"The greatest danger is not that America's presence in Iraq is drawing new recruits to the terrorist cause," he said. "The greatest danger is that an American withdrawal from Iraq would embolden the terrorists and help them find new recruits to carry out even more destructive attacks on the American homeland."

Ah bite me. Did anyone else see on the news the excerpts from Bob Woodwards next book that explictly confirm what Sen. Kerry has been saying for months, Iraq is bad and getting worse. The attacks on Americans are expected to go up next year. An attack on Americans occur every 15 minutes right now in Iraq, 800 times a week and it is going to get worse.

Sen. Kerry was right back in 2004 and is right now. The Dictator is wrong.

1. Yes, same old song and dance from our cruel little dictator.
I hope the spin falls on deaf ears. I want to see this little man go down and his party lose so bad, it hurts. God can not allow this man and his party to keep disgracing America.
as for Woodward's book, I think it is interesting that he seems to not make excuses for Bush now. I have lost a lot respect for him since he looked the other way as Bush lies to America and tortured overseas. I will take what he offers now though. I hope it gets a lot of air play.

2. All the signs are pointing to something worse
going on in Iraq than reported. Related to war, check out this article about Feingold:

3. Kerry was asked about this on Paula Zahn
He said Bush cut and run from Afghanistan. I don't know if I like that, because I hate "cut and run" because it's that scumbag's phrase.

He was better at Hopkins (or another forum lately), talking about how Bush talks in slonaneering instead of having a real debate on the merits of what's really happening in Iraq. I just REALLY want Kerry to banish WH words/phrases from his vocabulary with the exception of "War on Terror" (not because it's good, but because nobody can think of a better phrase). Sen. Kerry has so many turn of phrases and can think up great ways of saying things OFF THE CUFF, that I think he needs to banish "cut and run" other than to make fun of Bush. I didn't feel this way at first when he came out with it, but now I think he should retire it.

4. I agree. He came up with some catchy phrases right after they
-the Repubs- came out with C&R. Surely, with all those smart people around him, someone can come up with something that doesn't sound like a RW talking point.
Bush took the wrong turn and has hit a dead end, we need to turn the corner and take a new direction to reach our goals. Wrong way W. We need a new direction to reach our destination. Yeah, I know, they're bad.

5. Olbermann did a segment on this last night.
Woodward finds himself - oops - on the wrong side of history, gets all scrambly, jumps the fence (and the shark as well).

He's a canary, though. If he's suddenly finding his eyes open about the Chimperor, it's probably meaningful.
